I've seen some negative reviews on this but idk why? Its accurate, durable, and most importantly looks cool! Lol **Pro Tip** Put a thin bead of superglue around the magnets and it'll keep shavings out! And keep the mags extra secure!

This is a great product, I only wish the magnets were stronger. They aren't as strong as my last level which was a checkpoint and I loved it. Besides the magnets not being very strong, this level is awesome.

    • I was hoping for machined level surfaces that were then anodized but it looks to me like this is extruded aluminum

I had this level out of the packaging for 5 minutes before a defect was found. I set this level on a piece of steel to see how the magnets would work and a magnet popped out of the level. The magnet was held in by some purple glue substance which obviously wasn't enough. I'm sending this back. The overall feel of the level just didn't impress me. I was hoping for machined level surfaces that were then anodized but it looks to me like this is extruded aluminum. I don't think Johnson understands what the word "billet" means. To me it means taking a piece of raw aluminum and machining it true. I think this level is an extruded piece of aluminum that they then machine in the vials. I also think a radius on the no-dog leg would have been better than a square piece. The vials look nice and can be seen well. Maybe a window for the 45 would have been nice on the top... The 30 does have a window so you can see it from the top. Sending it back as a magnet shouldn't pop out ever, let alone in the first 5 minutes. ... show more

    • Nice workmanship. Easily viewed. Lock bolt not good on 1/2" or 3/4" conduit.

Looks well made. Magnets are strong, but they are only on the flat side and not the v groove side. So if you use it while bending conduit and plan on using the magnets, you'll have to eyeball it parallel to the pipe. And 1/2" and 3/4" conduit will not fit onto the tip that's under the lock screw in a way it will stay and have the level parallel with the pipe. You can get it to stay, but the surface of the level doesn't necessarily align with the pipe. ... show more
