Super expensive but sounds great! I don't regret buying it at all. But it is way more expensive than it needs to be. Battery life lasts about 3 hours when cranked up all the way. The best thing is that you can continue to use it while it is plugged in. It is waterproof and does float. Anytime it gets dirty i just rinse it off. But beware it will continue to drain water out of it for hours so don't set it on a surface that it will ruin after you get it wet. Sound quality is very good. Bass is strong and it is very loud. If I am in the garage with the doors closed you can here it in the street so don't under estimate it. Also you have to use the app to set it up which was kinda of dumb but it does allow you to tweak the sound which was a very nice feature. you will notice though it lags a bit when connecting when you turn it on and when it disconnects when you shut it off which is no big deal but definitely can be improved upon. Over all for a portable speaker system there isn't really anything out there that can touch this for sound quality, durability or how loud it can go while still have clarity. This is probably why JBL charges a serious premium for it. You will also notice it does have some weight to it so it is not something you would want to carry around all day. I also notice it does improve the sound a bit if you leave it plugged in while using it is you are going to listen to it real loud. If you buy it, you wont regret it. I sure don't. I have the 2 w-king D-10's, a mega boom 3, and jdl charge 4. The sound on this is worth it. I saved $165 by buying used but new in box. I listen to music in my backyard almost every day. The sound on this is noticably richer than less expensive speakers. I can recommend and you will not regret your purchase. I was about to return this speaker because I saw there was a new Sony ult field 7 out. I purchased both speakers and after after listening to YouTube reviews. I was sure the Sony would sound better. Boy was I wrong. I received the JBL first and dedicated the entire day of listening to it. Immediately I was impressed. The very next day the Sony came in. When I first listened to it(the Sony) I thought. Maybe the eq is wrong. I tried all the eq settings and lo and behold. It didn’t compare to the JBL. Yes, aesthetically the Sony looks better. It even has lights and you can plug in a mic for karaoke. But the bass just wasn’t there. I’m going to do a YouTube video later today with more details on why the JBL is just better to me. ... show more

I purchased this item along with the Bose S1 Pro plus. This has a heavier sound than the Bose s1 pro plus but the Bose has a cleaner sound. The Bose can easily accept mics the JBL boombox cannot. The Bose is a lot more versatile. If you are willing to pay the price. The Bose is also a lot lighter but this is not a game changer. Would Rate five stars if it could accept mics ... show more
