This is a sturdy unit which fit together nicely. The directions could be better and a novice would probably have trouble with the assembly, but someone with mechanical experience should be able to figure it out. The fingerprint reader works better than expected and I am happy to be able to quickly and easily open the safe. Note that although this is called a safe, it is not of the 10 ton bomb proof variety. A thief with tools and some time could get in, but it would take a little work. This is more for keeping kids and curious visitors out, which is what I wanted. Good purchase. ... show more

What can I say, if you've build a Stack-ON style cabinet before, you know how to build this. Stand up a side, screw it to the next, and done. Took about 45 minutes total to do it by myself, about half of that was just balancing pieces while I started screws. Fingerprint reader, punch code, key lock all work great. No problems. Only small things I'd recommend they change/add: 1. Add lock washers for under the screws. They seem secure but just friction might back out/loosen over time. I used a little Loctite red to secure, but some cheap split lock washers would help here. 2. If you're going to include a screwdriver, include one with the right size tip. The included one is WAY too small, it does not properly engage the larger screws. Fine for the small screws (which I don't see anyone using anyway as you don't need to screw the support/hanging panels down, they clip in and are very secure on their own). Other than that, it's a solid safe, the pre-drilled holes in the back are super convenient for mounting to a wall. And the size of this is NEARLY the same width as the 21" Stack-On small cabinet, so I mounted one of those on top and bolted them together. Overall, very pleased with it. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. For the price, it’s very decent. Simple to assemble. I put it together all by myself. The sides and back panels are flimsy but once assembled it seems to be sturdy. front door is very heavy due to the locking mechanism inside. Once you secure to the wall with the provided hardware, it’s solid as rock. It hold about 5-6 rifle comfortably, not 10 like advertised. The foam insert for rifle is too short so the scope would hit the back wall. No problem if you can be a little creative with 3D printing. ... show more

It's Amazon, so you know you're getting a Chinese product. Set your expectations accordingly, and you'll do fine. Pros- -Priced to sell. -It does what it promises, which is to provide a secure place to store weapons. It won't keep the lockpicking lawyer out, but it will keep the kids out. -The door pockets are nice and convenient. Cons- -Flimsy sheet metal that makes loud war-drum like noises during moving and assembly. Don't try to put this together while your neighbors are sleeping. -The small shelves that sit on the corners are a cruel joke. They couldn't be bothered to bend the tabs at the factory, and they want you to grab pliers and bend the tabs yourself, causing imperfect and misaligned bends that causes the shelves to pop out. These are best thrown away, and other creative uses of the panels should be considered. -The instructions suck. They're just poorly drawn pictures with no written instructions. You have to look for VERY subtle clues that tell you which direction certain panels are supposed to be oriented in. -The foot pegs that were included are not for the model of safe I purchased. The instructions call for a different set. -The interior side panels they included are unnecessarily difficult to install because they call for sheet metal screws instead of using machine screws with a welded nut. The pre-drilled holes for the machine screws were not aligned properly. -The 10-12 gun storage is misleading. It's more like 6-7 long guns with 4 pockets for pistols. ... show more

I had some issues at first which were a little annoying with the seller. Important thing to know is that all of their safes are the same size, one of their listings just has the wrong measurements. Just reach out before buying to make sure you have the right dimensions… lesson learned. Otherwise this gun “cabinet” is great. Just be sure to pay attention to the directions when assembling. Does the job and keeps my stuff safe. I did not anchor it as I live in an apartment complex, but I put my Thor hammer weight in the back as seen in the photo to stabilize it. I added my own felt to complete the look, and I used rug holders to keep the bottom felt it came with in place. I also added LED motion sensing lights to it because the lighting it comes with is laughable. It uses Hornady square lock system so keep that in mind for accessories. This is the older model and still has fingerprint access for ease of use. ... show more

I cannot recommend this safe. I bought it because it was one of the larger safes for its price. When I received it, the locking mechanism was broken; instead of sending me a new one, they sent me a pretty complicated video on removing the back lock cover to fix the pins that hold the locking mechanism together. They thought it would need adjustment. What I found was that one of the pins was missing. See picture. Had I not fixed it myself, I would have had a safe that the door would not close. After putting it together, it was my only option. Oh, by the way, the instructions to put it together are small and horrible pictures. ... show more
