This flying disc is great. Very durable and lightweight. Our Schnauzer loves them. He can catch, carry and pick-up from the grass or tile patio decking. The way they fly through the air and catch the wind, he has time to get there and catch it. If the disc lands in the pool, it floats.

The media could not be loaded. I have a cattledog who is an absolute frisbee nut and we play frisbee at least twice a day every day. I've probably owned two dozen of the Flippy Flopper Dog Frisbees over the last several years and I've tried most if not all dog frisbees on the market. After literally thousands of throws I can say the Hyper Pet frisbee is by far the best in terms of flight dynamics and weight while at the same time being safe for the dog. It's about finding a balance between distance and hang time which allows the dog to catch up to the disc and make the catch. Many competing frisbees simply don't fly long enough due to how they are constructed and wind up on the ground. The Flippy Flopper has a parachute effect once it's in flight which helps it maintain hang time and makes for great catches. The disc can easily be thrown 50-75 yds or more (key is not to overpower the throw) and hangs long enough for a quick dog to make the catch. This frisbee will not withstand a chew session for very long so you need to take the disc away after your session if you have a chewer. It's fairly easy for the dog to chew through the seams and pull out the rubber ring around the edge and I know dogs that enjoy doing just that when left alone with the flopper for a period of time. That being said, when used as a frisbee for games of catch it has plenty of durability and my dog has discs that are 8+ months old stashed all around the yard and garage (but not in the house!) as a testament to its durability. All the designs are great but our favorite is "Go Nuts for Donuts" (especially in the morning session) and the "Green Monster" (eye). Would love to see some new designs Hyper Pet or better yet a custom option! So if you have a frisbee dog or a dog you would like to turn into a frisbee dog this product is what you are looking for. These are great in every way . . except one: - They fly good. - They last a really long time and are very durable. - In spite of the above, the price is good. - Unlike rubber ones and "heavy duty" ones, they are lightweight. - Even when they finally get a small hole or two in them, they still fly about the same. - My dog (Lab) doesn't even try to lay down and tear them to shreds like the more expensive ones I used to get, which is awesome! - Only issue I have consistently found (bought 3): Hyperpet does not glue the ends of the inner rim together so as to make a firm ring, and the more you use it, the more it distorts the outer ring out of shape right where the ends meet and makes it fly "wobbly" and would it certainly fly better and look better if the ends of the ring were glued together like they should be . . Time to payback all the reviewers I've benefited from. These are the best dog discs we've found. They are easy to throw, you can even throw them sitting down, and they last forever. Ordered these in May of 2023. Use them with our two dogs. It's almost May '24, and we are still using the first two discs! But really, the best thing about them is how easy they are to throw. Into the wind they will really float for the dogs. Definitely recommend these. ... show more

My 1-1/2 y/o 65 lb golden retriever, who is a moderate to aggressive chewer, absolutely ***ADORES*** this frisbee. I originally bought her a Chuck-it brand frisbee which she destroyed in about a week of daily play sessions. This frisbee, however, has lasted nearly 2 months of the same. I'm impressed how the fabric has withstood my dog's attempts to tear/chew holes in the middle after she catches it. I have not let her carry it around like a chew toy, though, which has prolonged it's total destruction. This frisbee is so lightweight that I can safely toss it in the house from a few feet away and my dog can catch it, no problem. And outside it is lofty enough in the air that it gives my dog plenty of time to run up to it and catch it, whereas other rubber frisbees I've tried fall too rapidly (my dog is fast, but not greyhound fast) . My dog actually prefers this frisbee to her Chuck-it ball now, which really says something about it's softer feel and relative catch-ability as a retrieving object. I have ordered many of these frisbees because I like how they catch air and float. However these last ones I ordered are weak and have come apart very quickly. The tube inside has already separated, one already has an hole, and they have warped much quicker than others I have gotten. They do get daily use with my dog catching and retrieving them, but he is very gentle with them. So for them to be falling apart already is disappointing. ... show more
