  • Simply amazing chainsaw!
Style: 445 Gas Chainsaw Old
This chainsaw is honestly amazing and I say that after having a less than stellar first impression. The chainsaw arrived with the original Husqvarna box simply thrown into a larger, oversized box with no other packing material. On top of that, the Post Office delivered it with tape on the box indicating it had been handed off to the Post Office in damaged condition - shame on Amazon! Thankfully the chainsaw itself was undamaged inside. The next issue I had, and I don't know if it was my fault or not, is that it wouldn't start when it was new. It would cough then act like it lost all compression. After trying a few times over the course of a couple days, it finally fired up and has started easily and run great ever since then. Let's just assume I flooded it... In terms of design features, this chainsaw is excellent. I love the caps for the fuel and oil tanks; they have integrated levers that flip up for leverage and click in place - very user friendly. The choke/start/stop switch is well placed and intuitive to use. The side for the bar has the tensioner built into it (as opposed to built into the saw itself) so it releases chain tension when removed, making maintenance easy. It has a window into the fuel tank so there's no question how much is left. Overall, the saw is thoughtfully designed. Actual performance is quite good as well. It is possible to bog the saw down with heavy cuts, but it cuts quickly and easily when allowed to cut under its own weight. There's really no reason to be hard on it. Between the excellent cutting performance and the "low vibration" design - which really works - this chainsaw is a joy to use. It doesn't beat you up the way older designs do. I highly recommend this model as a general use, homeowner saw. ... show more

  • "The Chainsaw"
Style: 445 Gas Chainsaw Old
As others have commented, the 445 is an awesome chainsaw. My wife and I own a campground and having a good, reliable, heavy duty chainsaw is a must. We inherited some (older) Stihl equipment from the previous campground owner and it is still running great. I wanted a new(er) chainsaw so if something happened to one, I had another back-up ready to go. I can't afford to have equipment down even for a day in some cases. A tree service I hired to cut down some very large trees was using a Husqvarna and he said he was very happy with the chainsaws, so I decided to try the 445. If a guy who cuts down trees for a living uses a Husqvarna, then it must be a good reliable saw. So far, the 445 is just as solid and reliable as the Stihl, which has a great reputation among commercial lawn equipment brands. ... show more

  • Husqvarna Chainsaw 345 (18” to 20”)
Style: 445 Gas Chainsaw Old
I received my Husqvarna Chainsaw 345 (18” to 20”) bar. Im very impressed how it starts easily and it runs great!!. My previous Husqvarna 350 was purchased over 20 years ago and Im keeping it as a spare. I decided to go with a slightly smaller chainsaw however I still wanted the ability to cut larger trees and brush on my property which it does well.. I really like the fact that it’s slightly lighter yet powerful enough to get the job done.. My Husky looks well made and also comes with a great warranty for power equipment.. I hope I get another twenty years use with this chainsaw.. I definitely would give this chainsaw 5-plus stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️+ ... show more

  • Powerful saw
Style: 445 Gas Chainsaw Old
For the size and power of this saw it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. It fires right up and doesn’t hesitate to cut down a 12 to 16 inch oak or hickory. So far it’s been very dependable and I really like the chain that comes with it. I don’t use it every day so I’m hoping it will last a lifetime. It’ll get used 5 to 10 times a year. I’m very happy with the purchase. ... show more
