  • It’s kinda heavy but works like a tornado!
This is a powerful machine that cuts raking time on a 2.5 acre lawn in half for sure! Easy to start and move around can’t believe I didn’t have one before now!

  • Take off the extension for better blowing
I'll admit I wasn't the most impressed with this blower at first. While it certainly moved the leaves better than the handheld electric blower that I was replacing, it wasn't quite blowing the way I had thought it would. Fast forward to me blowing the leaves in my backyard and the extension accidentally falls off because it had worked its way loose. I guess I hadn't twisted it well enough. I was going to put it right back on but tested out the blower without it on. Well that certainly made a difference! Complete game changer. If you really want the leaves to move, do yourself a favor and leave off the tapered extension part of the blower. You'll be thankful that you did. It was way more powerful and cut the blowing time way down as well. I have a city lot with 7 large/mature oak trees, and they drop a ton of leaves. The blower is kind of heavy for me as a woman, but I didn't expect it to be light. I've had shoulder surgery, and though it was a little sore after using it, it wasn't too bad. I'd definitely recommend using the straps that go across your chest and stomach to help distribute the weight. Overall a great blower since I figured out how to make it better for me. You will need ear protection. I bought a cheap set on Amazon that work well. ... show more

  • Before buying be aware
Like a lot of the other poor reviews, they mention any sort of support (or lack there of). If your machine works straight out of the box, with no broken parts, you more than likely have a good machine that will run for years if taken care of. If not, prepare for coming to terms with disappointment: My plug wire from the ignition module was flopping when I took it out of the box. Never added fuel, never even attempted to start it. Figured I would return the item for another since it was defective: nope, Amazon wont take it and directs you to Manufacturer. Ok... Called Husqvarna, and get in the ever lasting loop of go to website. Website directs you to go to a service center... Ok cool, but most centers have a wait time, and none all that close (second one is my problem and totally accept, but shouldn't even be an issue with a brand new machine). Any of these things on its own would be a minor annoyance, but all together is ridiculous. How is this 100% my problem, when the only thing I did was trust you would send me a working product? In the end, I took care of it myself. Blower is great, performs as expected after I replaced the coil that was $110. Amazon, I get you cant take it back if it had fuel in it, but to 100% deny the return when it has only been unboxed is silly at best. Husqvarna, man I don't even know where to begin with you. We have a couple of your machines here, and all have run great for years, and the first time we do have an issue, we can't even get a little help. Disappointed to say the least. ... show more

  • NO POWER!! So I thought
No running issues so far as other reviews said but this thing has now power. I chose it because it showed the highest wind speed. I could not believe how weak it was when I fired it up. My Makita battery powered leaf blower has twice the power as this. It is pretty much worthless and as other reviews say you can not return it. I emailed Husqvarna but I doubt I will get anywhere. This thing probably has enough power to blow 3 $100 bills away which is pretty much what I did. Guess I’m going to have to go to a store to find a leaf blower that actually blows like it says it will. To update this, we went to take it apart and see what the hell and ended up finding the black tip for the blower tube was inside the flex tube and restricting the flow. It seems to be pretty descent now. That end tube necks it down to bout a 1” hole which is probably how they get thee 270mph rating but it does seem to be adequate now. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT BLOWER
We bought a house on a lot with mature pine, oak and other “shedding” trees. The property had not been maintained in years so we were in the market for a leaf blower. The blower had to be powerful enough to manage deep, wet, compact leaves, sticks and small rocks. It also needed to to be light, well balanced, easy to start and simple to refuel. Husqvarna Checked all of the boxes! Anyone who can use a mower can use this blower. The pull string to start requires minimal effort if you prime the engine well. I am a medium sized woman in my mid-50s. Four weeks after having carpal tunnel surgery on both hands, I was able to start the engine with no assistance. Simple to put on and adjust. The padded harness clasps are at appropriate chest and waist levels. The harness stays tight while blower is operating. It is a little heavy but blower’s weight is well distributed so it is easy to manage without having to adjust during use. One tank of fuel lasts far longer than anticipated. Longest continuous use to date was just over 2 hours. Fuel is easily added. Note: we’ve decided to use premixed fuel exclusively. Initially it seemed obvious to mix fuel ourselves because it can be less expensive. However, after doing research, we learned that pump gas has additives that can cause problems in the blowers engine. ... show more

  • Works Well
I've used this blower about 10 times now. Its a beast. Moves a lot of air quickly and its ergonomic designed. I suspect it may be a little hard to put on due to weight for many people but once its on your back, you don't notice the weight. From a noise standpoint, its good in comparison to other blowers. I read about the others who got bad units - thats a tough one although I suspect rare. I made sure to look mine over before adding gas. I was hoping for a quieter battery backpack blower but did not want to spend the money, ~$600, on something comparable to this unit. ... show more
