🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The gaming chair under review here splits the impressions of two users. One user finds the chair fairly comfortable with good back support but dislikes the flat, leather seat stating it could lead to backfire with flatulence, and it retains smells. They also complained about the heat, explaining that sticking to the chair on hot days is unpleasant. The other user praises the back support and adjusts to the initial discomfort on the thigh for the sake of aesthetics, although the armrests seem to become loose over time.

Pros

  • 🪑 Good back support and comfort in various positions
  • 💁‍♂️ Aesthetic appeal, fits well with gaming set-ups
  • 🔄 Adjustable pillows and reclining mechanism offer flexibility
  • 💪 Chair is sturdy post-assembly

Cons

  • 😓 Issues with heat on hot days, resulting in stickiness
  • 🧽 Retains odors due to leather material
  • 🔧 Some assembly difficulties and armrests may become loose over time
  • 😣 Initial discomfort due to metal bars hidden beneath side cushioning

Should I Buy It?

If aesthetics and good back support are your main criteria, this gaming chair might work for you. However, be aware of the potential problems highlighted: stickiness on hot days, odor retention, and a potentially uncomfortable seating surface. Overall, it offers a mix of comfort and style, but could be improved.

  • Used for work, almost every day for 4 years
Color: White
It's held up well given the high-level of use. I'm about ready for a new one. May get the same one but will shop around first. Super comfortable for daily use. Held up well but after 4 years of daily use for work, the seat is starting to crack some. The lift drops a little and isn't holding up at the top like it did. I keep it raised all the way up. ... show more

  • Not for all. Not wide enough seat for hips and thighs for some and may cause discomfort.
Color: Blue
While there were some shipping issues and complaints and issues, the seller was more than willing to get me taken care of despite all the issues just to receive it. That being said, when I got it, shipping box and contents inside were all nicely packaged and protected inside and individually wrapped or boxed. The quality of the chair does seem very nice for the price you are paying. I did not get this chair necessarily as a gaming chair as the title of the product states it as. I just liked the look of it and the features it includes. I also wanted a tall back chair for head and neck support. I am 6’3” tall and my last office chair was only a mid level back and old and falling apart. The installation of the chair was actually fairly easy in my opinion. The included paper instructions provided more than enough detail and instruction to get me through it. I did create a customer how to/installation and setup video which should be showing up any day now once approved. Made understanding how to install it a much more fun way to watch it being built from ground up. I’ve had the chair now and have used it for a few days now. The very first full day I had it (I installed it the night before after work), I actually came home super tired and sat down in it. I give the comfortable rating a 7/10. It was comfortable enough especially when reclining the chair back, I actually fell fast asleep it in. Wasn’t a LazyBoy comfort sleeping chair but it was good enough especially for an office chair. I rate it a 7 for a reason though, something I am honestly very disappointed in and debating on rather I can keep it or not. If one tiny issue was fixed, I would likely give this chair and comfort a 9 or 10 rating. My problem is this: the seat itself, is not wide enough. I am of a fairly average build. However with the raised angled ends on the seat itself where it feels like sturdy metal support bars inside, it keeps my hips and thighs so tight together with no room for much of a relaxed open leg seating position. It almost gives a slight bruising feeling on the side of my upper thighs and hips after prolonged time in it and possibly even pushing on veins and arteries in my legs just enough to slightly cut off blood circulation which in turn gives me a slight dead leg with tingle sensation. I have to keep adjusting my legs and move them from keeping this from happening. Also, I feel the seat could had used some sort of opening or circulation to circulate air. It gets to be a pretty warm seat after awhile. If the seat itself was maybe 6 inches wider or else didn’t have the lifted angled sides on the ends of the seat, I’d say this chair is perfect. Back and head and neck support are all great in my opinion. My butt is by no means a wide big butt (haha) so for my wife with wider hips, naturally as a woman, she was uncomfortable in it instantly and didn’t like it whatsoever. If they ever modify this seat I would be willing to update the review. For now, as I said, I would take caution on seeing how the seat feels for you. I would almost pull the seat out and maybe just install the armrests and sit on it on the ground before putting it all together to see what may be an issue for you as well. I will upload a photo of the seat with me in it to show an example once Amazon turns photo uploads for reviews back on, apparently they have turned the option off temporarily citing the COVID as some sort of reason. Update: I added photos as promised now that it gave me the ability to add them. The photos are to show the narrow seat conditions as I say in the chair and my outer thighs and hips and tight up against the elevated sides of the seat. I did purchase another item here on Amazon, a high rated seat cushion pillow which elevated me up a bit off the seat and has tremendously increased the comfort now where my thighs are not being squashed together. Grant it I shouldn’t have to buy something else to make this seat work better and more comfortable but I really didn’t want to have to deal with the time and pain in disassembling the chair and trying to send it back. I made it work. The seat cushion set me back another $30 but it’s worth it and I can technically take it with me elsewhere if I want to use it and it does really major sitting in this office chair a lot more comfortable and cooler temperature as well. • a very pleasant surprise - fantastic quality, easy to assemble, great attention to detail
Color: White
My son saved his money and pooled money from his 10th birthday to purchase this chair by himself. No sooner had we pulled the trigger on the purchase and I began preparing him for disappointment. "Things aren't always as nice in person as they seem online" and "a lot of desk chairs are poorly made, especially in this price range--I know it seems expensive to you, but lots of nice office chairs go for three- or four-hundred dollars," etc. It was also backordered and wouldn't arrive for almost two weeks.... yet it came nearly a week ahead of the estimated time. That was pleasant surprise number one. I stuck with my theme: "it might have missing parts, or it might be ripped or stained or broken or the holes for the bolts and screws might not line up," etc. Then we unboxed it. Everything inside was very nicely packaged. Everything that could possibly dent or scratch was wrapped in foam. Everything else was sealed nicely in plastic. The bolts and screws were clearly labeled and included the Allen wrench/#2 screwdriver combo. I persisted. "A lot of times, the places where the bolts go don't line up with the holes. And we're going to need to keep tightening the bolts every now and again to keep it from getting loose, okay?" He was fine with that. We proceeded. The directions were clear. (Minor wonkiness from some oddly translated bits, but nothing too bad and there's very little that you can screw up here anyway. Most things only go on one way. The armrests were the only unclear part... but they turned out to be identical and interchangeable so there's no way to mess up their installation, either!) Step by step, we put it together. The bolts lined up. Not only that, but they came with blue threadlocker on each bolt to help keep them in place for the long run. That was a very nice touch. In the end, everything went together as it should in a perfect world, which seems very rare in my experience especially in products at this price point. My son sat in it. It's a little big for him (definitely an adult-sized chair) but it still works and he's only going to keep growing, so I consider that a plus. As stated in the description, it's PU and not real leather, but it is really well done PU, I must say. Not only does it feel more like leather than most, it doesn't smell bad, either. No smell at all, no need to air it out. I really have nothing negative to say about the chair. Reading back over my review, it sounds like I'm getting paid or reimbursed or something, and all I can is... I wish! My son definitely thinks I'm crazy for preparing him for a let-down. Maybe the next expensive thing he saves his money toward will be a piece of junk, and then he'll see! This chair, however, is amazing and I would 100% recommend it for anyone from age 10-110. If you're on the fence about this chair, I say go for it. There are lots of junky chairs and desks and furniture out there, and a chair from "Homall" (really Furniwell who apparently sell under many names and use Gmail for their email account) didn't inspire confidence... but if I ever somehow find myself in the market for a gaming chair (or perhaps whatever else this company makes) I would start my search with them for sure. ... show more

  • Great value
Color: White
This is my second one of these. The first I've had for five or six years and it's pretty rough. The fabric is now coming apart on the seat cushion and more worryingly, the bolts that hold the armrests on have broken. Yes, that's right, broken. The heads break off. I'm not a heavy guy either. Speaking of which, the cushioning in this is fairly firm but good and the seat fits me we well as a smaller person. The cushions provided do help with support and in the end, I find this chair to be very comfortable especially considering the price. Back to the bolts; this has to be the worst part of the chair. They were coming loose on the armrests on my prior chair, then eventually failed at the bolt head. I see there is loctite applied from the factory on this new one; I don't remember if the old one had that and if not, it will help. However, while I was putting together the new chair using an impact driver on the lowest setting (~15 lb/ft), I managed to break one of the bolts at the head. These are clearly weak bolts and they should never snap this way, especially considering their size. In fact, the small Phillips head screws used to secure the plastic trim seem more stout. If you're careful with the bolts and expect to replace the chair in 3 years or so, I think this is a good buy. ... show more
