  • Very good Bike
I received my Hi Peak bike and it's amazing. I love the look and build of the bike. These bikes are packed very well which leaves very little chance of damage during shipment. This bike comes ready to ride and is mostly assembled when you get it. I recommend charging the battery before you ride the bike. Very easy to assemble remaining parts. I rode the bike and ,WOW. This bike is awesome. Plenty of power and gears change smooth and easy. No noises and rides very smooth. I love it! ... show more

  • Bigger than expected and pedal assist is crazy
The bike is much bigger that expected and weights 80lbs so pedaling without some assistance will be taxing. The bike will not make it to 25mph and will only make it to 20.9mph and I only weight 175lbs. My son weighs 120lbs and can only get to 21mph. We went into the settings and delimited the bike from 36v to 48v which is where I tested the 20.9 and 21mph speeds. The brakes squeal like crazy even after having almost 200 miles on the bike. I cleaned the rotor and pads and the still squeal. I ordered new pads. This bike's weight really needs hydraulic brakes and I think these cable operated brakes are underpowered. The pedal assist is kinda scary. From 1 to 3 it's tame. But on 4 it will pull very aggressively. Pedal assist 4 and above will get you into trouble around turns or intersections due to the aggressive pull and weak brakes. Trust me. We even dialed the pedal assist power all the way down to 1 in the settings. Overall for the price it is an okay bike and if the pedal assist and brakes were better I would rate it higher. ... show more

  • Fun to ride
packed well assembly was fast easy. Rides well on road and mild off road. Not a mountain bike petals swing to low. Not a great road speed bike. Decent compromises rides will on rougher ground. My top speeds of 26mph got sketchy. My 3 miles to my home is all up hill 3 miles about 300plus feet of elevation change. I was skeptical of a bikes making the hill. This one power up it slowest speed for a few mins was 5mph indicated. It had more battery power left then my rider legs could used even after the hill run. 6 mile trip 17min and I have not given a bike in decades. Very fun to ride decent compromise in size. Im a 6ft tall adult it's fits me fine. The folding is a plus. ... show more

  • Bought 2 only 1 worked.
We spent a lot of money on these bikes and one of them works great. We love it! The other does NOT work and has no e-assist at all, only by throttle. If I can get the faulty one replaced I will be 5 star happy. So far nothing back from their support site.

  • Good bike overall. Brakes are really squeaky which is frustrating for a 1000 brand new bike
So far I love everything about this bike. The lights are bright, the style is sleek, and it has really good power. My main frustration is how loud the brakes are on the bike. They make a very loud squeaking noise. Iโ€™ve tried everything to get the noise to go away and nothing is working. It looks like Iโ€™m going to have to get new brake pads to try to resolve it which is infuriating since the bike is brand new. Iโ€™m having to dish out even more money after spending over 1,000 after taxes and shipping for the bike. ... show more

  • Owned 4 months.
The first couple months I'd have given it 5 star. I have about 550 miles on this bike. A month or so ago the throttle was working off and on. Had it go on by itself three times for less than a second each. I've tried 4 times at present to getting contact with the vendor to no avail. I've tried a few things I could think of to get the throttle to work and it doesn't work at all. The bike still has pedal assist and is usable. I think it's a good bike and would be better if it's manufacturer would contact me about fixing it. I'll do more research on the next one which won't be from this company. UPDATE: Now over 1400 Miles on it. I don't use the throttle as it doesn't work, not a big deal for me. The screws on the kickstand are stripped and I had to do a bolt and nut fix on it. The screws were constantly getting loose and had to be tightened bi-weekly at the longest. Should have used a threadlock but that time has passed. Overall it still gets me from point A to B. I bought it April '23 and now being Jan '24 its a tough bike and solid. The lights on the bike are sufficient enough but I do use 2 others...road safety and all. The seat was swapped out very shortly after purchase. Around the 1000 mile mark is when I changed the back tire. I use it 99% on tar roads. I'd say the brakes are ok but not good for speeds over 15MPH. The brakes are far from a quick stop. ... show more
