I tried this on a cat door's window that was letting too much light into the room. It was easy to apply. I let it sit for 8+ hours before letting the cats use the cat door. It worked great that evening, but unfortunately, in the morning I found the film on the floor. It probably is better suited for less mobile windows. It was worth a try, though! ... show more

Packaging was ripped where you open it. Opened tape and contents was in perfect condition. Still sealed. Got item used for $35. If purchased new it would have costed me $80. I was only buying 20 foot for $64 and got 33 foot for $35. Great deal. Suggest others to purchase the used area if it's labeled very good condition. These will work but regardless of application, they aren't staying adhered to the window as well as I'd like. They are good for security and they allow the light in.

When I received this product it seemed a little intimidating because I am not savvy with tools and DIY projects. When I opened the packaging the instructions were right there and very easy to understand. Once I got all the tools I needed together, measured the window and cut the sheet to size it was time to put it on the window. Make sure you clean the window prior to installation. With my experience the only difficult step was removing the protective film from the sheet. After you remove the film and spray both the window and sheet with water you can place the sheet on the window and adjust it to area you need it. Once you have the sheet in place you use an old credit card to remove any excess water and dry. From start to finish the installation took me about 30 minutes but I’m sure someone with better handy man skills than myself can finish it sooner. The product serves its purpose and blocks view from the outside and may easily be removed if needed. Definitely recommend this product. ... show more

    • Does this job although a tad bit frustrating

I had my husband help me install this on our back storm door, it wasn't too difficult although I doubt i would have been able to successfully install it on my own. It adheres nicely and has been in place for a few weeks now with no peeling, curling, etc. It's 'see throughness' is my only bother, it's very obvious something is on th glass and really distorts our view ( we purchased it for birding purposes, so my son doesn't scare them away). I find myself walking over to a near by window to confirm what I'm looking at. But it does help with cooling, even in the winter the sun would bake the floor and now it's comfortable to stand there. It's also doing a great job hiding our movement in the house, I have to get very close to the glass for me to be able to see into the room. I plan on purchasing another roll or two for a few more windows in the house ... show more
