    • This IS the film to use, impressive results, mobile home much cooler now.

This film REALLY works, dropped temps in my mobile home by 7 to 10 degrees in the hot summer months, looks great on the outside too, cannot see inside during the day. It did darken the inside of my mobile home, as if I put on a pair of sunglasses. The installation was straight forward, after the second window, you're an expert, get the installation kit with the magic spray, a good window scraper is a must, best results are on totally CLEAN windows. Pro tip, I used a t-square to cut, with a minimum of overlap, applied film so I only had two edges to trim, you'll figure that out quick, and get a good utility cutter, you'll go through blades often. Pro tip 2, Overlap your squeegie strokes as you are working the bubbles out, that'll get most every bubble out. I plan on removing the film on some of the windows in the winter to take advantage of solar heating, but put it back up in the spring. One side benefit, I'm sleeping better as my room is darker, we're packed in tightly in this mobile home park, lots of night lights everywhere, so that was a pleasant surprise. Another bonus is my cats have not scratched it up yet, or torn if off the windows, so that's a good thing too. I cleaned and applied film to 24 individual window panes in 18 hours, that includes removing and replacing mini blinds, interior storm windows cleaning those too working by myself, I was taking my time to get it OCD perfect . I definitely made the right choice, the static film sticks fabulously, looks fabulous and REALLY works, this IS the stuff to get! Edit after 1-year, the film is still totally intact on the windows with no peeling away. Note that this film does NOT keep you warmer in the winter since you are blocking out the sun, but you can peel off during winter. ... show more

While the film was not the easiest to install it is durable enough that as long as you keep the window damp with the water/soap solution it is workable and the results were good. Used one roll on a large sliding door and a second on some windows with rounded edges. I do suggest using both a large squeegee and a craft scraper with a fabric edge when finishing up as the film dries. ... show more

This kind of works. I decided to use this product in my office. I do not have an exterior window but I have a small door window to the hallway. I definitely needed to apply two layers to get the reflective privacy with my office lights off during the day time but as soon as I turned my office lights on I had limited visibility out and everyone could see in . The hall way was equally lit if not brighter than my office. Over all I don’t think it’s all that successful given the finesse it takes to get it to work.     • Great Value Option Compared to Big Box Store

Florida is always hot in the summer (duh) and it's even hotter when you have a south-facing dinning room with windows that seem to greenhouse effect about 10 to 15 (F) degrees hotter. Anyway, this product is over 50% less expensive than big box store brands. I can't say if it's better quality, but the results have been dramatic. My AC thermostat reads 8 degrees (F) lower than previous and the dining area is much more tolerable now....we used to avoid eating lunch in the dining area because it too bright and hot--not anymore with this sun-blocking window film. I've never done this type of install before and it wasn't too bad. I'd recommend a really, really, REALLY good utility knife/craft knife, or something super sharp that will smoothly and easily cut the film when doing the trimming portion, otherwise you will do what I did and have rough edges. My tint job won't pass the straightness or pretty-looking test, but the film is on the windows and it's functional, so it's good enough. The room during the day is significantly darker--I'm okay with that--and from the outside you can't see inside (my wife and I checked several times, at different periods of the day and night). I'm hoping this tint job will help with the electric bill. We'll see, but our thermostat shows a pretty big change. ... show more

It works great, it absolutely blocks UV and helps keep my room cool. However, it's very hard to apply and bubble come up constantly. No matter what I did I would end up with bubbles in areas I thought I had smoothed down correctly. It holds up well though and I am happy with the service it's performing ... show more
