I have been using this for about 2 months now, and it is safe to say it has exceeded my expectations. As an frequent home cook, I use it daily to prepare variety of dishes including chicken, ribeye steaks, eggs and it performs wonderfully with each. One of the standout features of this pan is its hybrid tech, which combines an aluminum core between two layers of steel, along with a unique hexagonal nonstick surface. It allows for even heat distribution and durability and also makes the cleaning so easy. I mainly use it for cooktop, did not experience it in the oven yet. The cooking is consistenly great, never had a problem with any of the dishes i tried yet. The glass lid is a good addition especially when cooking frozen chicken on my end, I can see the water level etc. Despite the price, I find the value it offers very worthwhile. Buy this for sure, instead of paying cheaper pans and not getting good value from them. Best skillet i have ever used. One of the easiest to clean. Heats up real evenly all over. Very nonstick so far. I dont use many oils to cook with. And havent used any but one time with this, simply due to what was needed in recipe. Or some butter to help brown a few breakfast items. Still learning how to cook more in this. Would def recommend buying this and theor other pieces if able. They arent cheap, but high quality never is. ... show more

I only purchased a 12" skillet. Besides being a beautiful skillet, it cooks evenly and fast. I have only used it twice and it's kind of early to say but I think it was a great purchase. Cooks great and cleans like a dream, and the craftsmanship is unbelievable.

Best pan I have ever purchased. Nice and heavy, non stick but I can use metal utensils. It has a large surface area so I can fit more into the pan. Well worth the money in my opinion

The moment you open the box you realize these pans are a cut above anything I have bought before. They are heavier than the typical nonstick pans,but lighter than cast iron. They are easy to prep for first use,(per included instructions) and a breeze to clean. The fact that they are oven safe is a definite plus and that they can take metal utensils without scratches is a bonus! I will be adding more to my collection. They are well worth the cost ... show more

I've been living with my Hexclad pan for about 1/2 a year now, using it almost every day, though not a perfect non-stick pan it does have a lot of features I love. Pros: Heavy base with even heat conduction Extremely well made with quality materials and a beautiful finish Very durable (so far) Once seasoned it is very nonstick for most uses Oven safe up to 500 (I believe) Cons: This is not the pan for demanding nonstick tasks like French omlettes or delicate fish Requires some oil for most uses (not a problem for me, as I love using butter in my cooking but if you want to totally eliminate cooking fats this is not the right pan.) Very high price (ultimate value will depend on durability) Some question about the long-term durability of the design I love mine and would highly recommend it as long as the cons I listed are not an issue. ... show more

After having a not so great experience purchasing a set of All Clad cookware ($$$$) which for me didn't come close to living up to the hype (too heavy, scratched easily, and handles that dug into the hands when cooking) I decided to try Hexclad and bought this skillet. Now, I've seen Gordon Ramsey touting them on the web and on his TV show-- which actually made me a little suspicious-- but I spent the money and got this pan. HOLY COW. These things really are fantastic. Forget all the hype and just know that you're getting a VERY high quality item. The weight is good, the heat distribution is fantastic, and they have very comfortable handles--especially when compared to All Clad. One review I've read of these says that his eggs slid around "Like Bambi on ice"-- and I have to agree. We've used this pan for various things, and nothing stuck. There are some reviews that show eggs sticking all over, which I'm sure is true if you don't use any sort of oil or butter. But if you do, NOTHING seems to stick. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase, and I've ordered a 2 quart saucepan as well, and am budgeting to get one pan a month until I complete my conversion to a HexClad kitchen. I'm very, very pleased--shockingly so, with this product!!! I was literally expecting it to be something cheap-ish, and all TV hype. I'm extremely happy to report that this was not the case.
