This product allows you to have the heat right where you need it without having to hold on to the pad or somehow strap it to you. It has a closure at the neck for that purpose. Got this as a gift for wife. The quality of this heat pad appeared to be pretty good but ... There is a weighted border that runs around the edge and runs across your back which she stated was uncomfortable when she leaned back against anything. She also said the heat was good around her neck but she felt that the heat tapered off out towards her shoulders.
