We had borrowed another brand exercise bike prior to my wife’s total-knee surgery. A month after surgery we found that her rehab was ahead of normal, partly due to using the bike and bought the Harison B-12. Reviews showed some customers having difficulty with assembly. I’m 80 and had no problem assembling in about 1 1/2 hrs. Use real tools, those supplied might work in a pinch but not well. Bike is just great, smooth and quiet, electronics easy to understand and use. Seat is harder and lower than expected. Although there were some difficult moments in assembly, this is a very nice bike. I had to use a wrench on the position ball underneath because it was so tight at first. I like the computer and the bike is simple to use. I have short arms and I'm unable to reach the right/left arm brackets. The instructions did require the use of a magnifier because they were so small. The seat is comfortable and the bike is sturdy. I was able to adjust the bike easily to my size. I decided to wait a while before writing a review to see if any problems arose during use of the product. They have not, and I have now ridden it almost 300 miles. (Yes, it has a digital odometer, although it resets to zero after each 100 miles.) This bike was not as easy to assemble as I was led to believe - it took my wife and me about 5 hours to put it together and when it was over we had one leftover part which was not specifically called out in the instructions. I contacted customer service and sent a picture of the part and they actually sent me a video of where that part should have been installed and how to put it in. (This led me to believe that I was not the only person who had experienced this problem.) The video was narrated in Chinese but the narration was really unnecessary as the visual was quite clear and the bike is now whole! What is most remarkable about this product is how quietly and smoothly it operates. The engineering is simply outstanding. My wife commented early on that she couldn't tell I was actually on the bike unless she came into the bedroom where we have it and saw me sitting on it and pedaling. The seat is comfortable and the entire rig is very sturdy. (I weigh 240 pounds.) The digital display offers, in addition to the odometer, readouts for speed, distance, time, calories, and heart rate (which is read by sensors in the handles on either side of the seat.) To be honest, there is no way that the calorie calculation could be correct since it seems to be based entirely on distance pedaled and does not take into consideration factors such as my age and weight, which are not input at any point. The bike is not programmable (offering different workout regimens, setting goals, etc.) as the display tells you only what you are doing or have done, but bikes that are programmable cost hundreds of dollars more and that wasn't worth it for me. The only negative comment I can make is that there is an iPad holder (which also can hold a beverage or water bottle) affixed to the top of the handlebars, but it is of no use if you actually need to touch your iPad (for example to scroll pages in a digital book or newspaper) because it is too far from the seat to reach comfortably. This is not a big deal, because I can hold my iPad in my hands, but I do need to set it somewhere to get a pulse reading. Of course if all you want to do with your iPad is stream a movie or TV show, that would be fine. In any case, it seems odd that it would be designed this way where a normal sized person can't easily reach the iPad holder without leaning forward awkwardly. I have attached a picture to show the position of the iPad holder. On the whole I am very pleased with this product and happy that I selected it from the many offerings on Amazon of exercise bikes. For the price, it is a sound product, well engineered and manufactured, and the customer service was satisfactory apart from the Chinese narration on the video they sent me. Given what I know now, for the same price I would buy it again. ... show more

The product arrived and I assembled it and tried right away to use it. I found the seat wobbly. I looked through the instructions again to see if I missed something, and I did. A part had not been in the package. So I reached out to customer support and they were quick, helpful, and friendly. Same day they mailed out the part I was missing, and it arrived only a few days later. Now that I can use it properly, I can say it's just as great as their customer service. Simple to use. Comfortable. And now the seat doesn't wobble at all. Important to note: I'm a big boy, so finding a good, sturdy exercise bike to use was extremely important for me. And I found it in this bike. I am a senior and have been looking for a recumbent bike since I have had several back surgeries which left me with weak core muscles as well as leg muscles. I am also 4'9" which is difficult when looking for a bike to suit my lack of height but this bike fully adjusted to suit my leg length and I am able to pedal comfortably without trying to stretch into the pedals. The back rest is also a plus because I need the back support to help sit straight. I would recommend this bike not only for the comfort but it was in my price range as well. We bought this to have something similar to the equipment my wife has been using in pulmonary rehab. It's a little disapointing that we can't tighten the tension an the arm exercise part enough to suit a 76yo woman that's still weak from a couple exteneded hospital stays. The bike part is fine. Be prepared to spend a few hours unpacking and assembling this beast. I think it took about an hour just to unpack, and then another 4 hours over two sessions to assemble. The pictures are small and lacking contrast so in some steps it takes some time to figure out which way a piece should be oriented. The biggest problem was a mis-match between the holes in the bar the seat attaches to and the bolt holes in the frame. The holes in the frame are just a little two close together. I was able to get 3 of the 4 bolts in by starting two first, one at the top and one diagonally from it at the bottom, and then getting a third one started at the top. There's no possible way to get the 4th one in, so we're going with just the three. Asside from that it seems to be sturdy. I'm frustrated though that things like this are only designed in the USA and then manufactured in the PRC. I sincerely hope manufacturing continues leaving China. I also wish Amazon would give us a way to search for products and include/exclude specific countries of origin. ... show more
