These are really good. My thumbs does get caught in them sometimes I don’t have professional scissors to know if this is just a common thing. As far as these go I’ve been using them for several cuts and they are amazingly good. Super sharp I highly recommend them.

I bought these because, like so many others, I’m doing my own hair these days—yikes. But I was doing mine with regular scissors, just to trim ends and freshen layers, and it was not great—the blades would shear the hair as I trimmed, making me have to chase tails to even them out, and making the cut look like the hack job it was. Not fun. (I’m not planning to cut my own hair when things get better, but I’m just not ready to brave the chair until it’s warm enough here to have cuts outdoors, if they do that.) This came, and I was a bit concerned about the size of the holes, until I remembered that you don’t actually put your thumb in the hole, as that’s what the kickstand is for. I just decided to do a trim the other day; I did it dry, instead of wet, just to see how the scissors would handle. I’m pretty pleased. Not comparing apples to apples here: I’m not a stylist, and I was using regular paper scissors before (though mine are reserved for non-paper cutting). I found these easier to maneuver and much more fun to use, easier to get a straight cut the first time. The hair didn’t ‘run away’ from the blades as I snipped. Of note, I went to my local Sally to see if I could find a pair there, since the first pair (different brand) I ordered on Amazon never came (seller said after my order that they couldn’t sell where I lived, but I wasn’t sure why). Sally’s basic versions started at $25 and went steeply up from there. I couldn’t do it, not knowing there were inexpensive options on here that would likely do for my needs. Not like I’m going pro, for sure, and I’m certainly not cutting any hair beyond immediate family. No need to spend the big bucks for what is a makeshift solution. Basically, it’s a solid option for a decent price. I enjoyed using so far. I only did a small trim, so we’ll see if these make it through the masses if I decide to chop off all my length from the last year; so far, though, I doubt I will. These would be great for bangs, layers, thinning, etc. from how they’ve handled so far. (Size 7 ring, to give you an idea of my fingers. Size 7/medium glove, for hand size. Easy for me to manage these.) ... show more
