I bought two of these, one for the classroom and one for home. It was easy to put together and is as described. However there are some pros and cons to review if thinking about buying. Pros: - Easy to assemble large enough for smaller to medium sized animals. - Two parts for animal comfort - trays pull out for easy cleaning. - Good price for what you get. - Adjustable lamp holder cons: - Pungent smell from the stain or something that is overwhelming until you either get used to it or it goes away. - the plastic protecting the plexiglass is a nightmare to get off if you pull it off by hand. (I had to use a knife to cut along the edge to make it easier. - wood is very soft and can split when assembling. - The lids don't always line up perfectly. - Appears and cheeply made with plastic hooks to secure lids. ... show more

Pros: Simple, cute, cheap, and functional. It's the perfect size for my little red foot tortoise and should last him a couple of years. The light fixtures are a really nice addition and have a decent amount of adjustability. Cons: The wood had a very strong awful smell at first but luckily faded with time. There was some wood splitting and I didn't even bother screwing in the clasps because they felt so cheap. If you plan on connecting two like I did, the part where they connect doesn't have a great seal so you have to be careful with bedding. Contruction: The instructions were very easy to follow, but it was a very time consuming project. Instructions recommend two people and a power drill, but I didn't have another person or a powerdrill... So it took me around six hours to put these together with just me and a screwdriver. ... show more

This product looks amazing in pictures and I thought it would be the BEST this for my turtle. However a few things made me change my mind. First.. wood pieces were broken on the panels (had to super glue to get it back together).. second.. the instructions do not include which way the top holder goes..so unfortunately I did one upside down and I'm not going to disassemble at this point since it's already done but I looked thoroughly through the instructions and there was nothing about like top holders. And 3rd the sticker that covers the acrylic does not come off. I think I spent more time with tweezers to get this stickers off than I did assembling it. I have had acrylic tanks in the past and it is supposed to come off smoothly in one shot. Oh and the panels don't match up 100%.. you have to figure it out yourself on how to ATTEMPT to get them to line up. I am going to keep it and use it for my turtle regardless..but I feel like this product could do better with these parts. ... show more

First, this product was shipped extremely fast. Super easy to assemble. Instructions not really need. It was pretty self explanatory.My tortoise has plenty of room to roam around. He's loving it and so am I.
