The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: The company sent me an entire new reel and hose within a week of my report. The unit looks great, installs “easily”, and the retractor is amazing at even 130 ft dispensed hose. Unfortunately, the interior parts are lacking and mine lasted under a year. In fact, it was used just 4 months last year and then removed from its installation and stored inside for the winter. I took it out today and it’s leaking all over and almost nothing gets to the nozzle. Totally non-functional. The unit is sealed rather well so I’m not comfortable taking it apart to try and patch when it clearly has a material quality failure. This was $200 and for that it should not dry-rot over a single winter. It’s absurd! I’m hoping support will step up and do the right thing, but I’ve seen some reviews that imply that might not happen. I will update the review in 30 days. ... show more

I purchased 2 of these hose reels. One 78 ft and one 100 ft. So far I can honestly say I wish I'd bought them a long time ago!! The 100 ft reel has the metal bracket which I think is more sturdy. I think they should all come with the metal bracket because the unit is so heavy and i worry about the plastic breaking down over time. Ill see how it goes, but for now, its sturdy. We were wrapping up our hose and letting it sit on the concrete. But when it rains, the hose gets muddy and I never wanted to touch it because it was such a hassle. This hose reel is AMAZING! Just pull it out, it locks itself in place. Water your plants, wash your car, rinse your boots off, then tug on the hose and it winds back up! I mounted ours about 3 ft from the ground, just so I'd never have to bend over. It works out great. I know it's a bit pricey but, It's definitely worth the money! I'm thinking of buying 2 more!! ... show more

I purchased this hose system last season (summer 2023), the old hose was too heavy for my wife to reel in. The hose retracts as stated and works great and install was easy... I did just open up my hose this year and went to use it but the nozzle completely cracked over the winter, water came out of every possible angle. I was disappointed as it wasn't even a year old. Purchasing replacement today. Otherwise highly suggest this product. ... show more

I mounted the hose on a 4 by 6 treated post to avoid drilling into the masonry. This was professionally installed and hopefully lasts for a long time. The hose itself is easy to use and I'm able to water my trees and shrubs easily. I've not experienced any issues with it. Word of caution - do not hold the hose for whatever reason while it's retracting - the retracting action is very smooth and very fast and can injure your hands. ... show more

We tried one of these out last year in our front yard because lugging a heavy hose across the driveway to even get to the plants was a struggle. Just pulling on this makes it so much easier than dragging and carrying a regular hose! I admit, my husband installed it, but he said it was easy to do. Since buying this one, we've bought two more for the back yard! They're so easy to use. No tripping over hose lines, easy to maneuver around the yard, easy to gently pull on to release it so it goes back in to its station, and if you want it to be slack, it'll do that, too. My one "complaint" would be that the hand-held nozzle gun isn't the best quality. I've bought different ones to put on it. It's okay, and will serve you pretty well for a time, but your best bet is to replace with it a different brand that's a sturdier quality. Other than that, I can't speak highly enough of this hose. After a year, the first one still works like new, it isn't an eye sore like some can be, and it's really easy to use. FYI, you do have to pull with a decent amount of strength, but you won't have to strain by any means. If you can pull a regular hose, you can definitely pull this. I purchased this to use in our garden area. The set up was very easy and I very much enjoy the quality of the product. I wish that the roller made a bit more noise because as you walk away from it, you cannot hear the click and so you don’t always know if you have pulled it to the correct position to get it to lock into place. Sometimes I’ll pull it let go a little and that starts to snap away and I have to pull again and slowly try to find the right position where it locks. This is a problem that I don’t have in my garage for my retractable air hose and my retractable extension cord, because those have an audible clicking that I can hear even from a distance. Also, the hose is extremely thin walled. After a few weeks, it started to bubble because I left the water on and the pressure and the heat were just too much. It did rupture, but the company was great about sending me a brand new one once I sent them a picture of the damage. As a bonus, I was able to easily repair the broken hose on my own. I just cut off the damaged portion and used a hose clamp to put a new threaded end onto the hose and now I have 2 for the price of one. The replacement unit is quickly showing that it will fail the same way. So just beware that you need to be prepared to fix your own hose or you need to turn the water off after every use because the constant water pressure is too much for these cheap hoses. ... show more

Just installed this today on a brick wall. It took me a while to come off paying $165 for this, but I needed a new means of watering my garden and animals without having to deal with pulling in a 150’ hose every time after using and it laying around. The instructions leave a little to be desired but not terrible - make sure you read and understand what they’re trying to say. I tried the provided anchors but they were junk. Went to Home Depot and bought the Red Head 5/16” x 2-1/2” wedge anchor and they worked great. Here’s hoping this reel lasts a good while! ... show more
