Easy to install, but lock screws a few mm too long, so lock slightly wobbly. Other than that, v easy installation. Looks nice, too. A minor minus is that the key access apparently only available after a power bank is connected. Other fingerprint locks allow direct key access for emergencies.

This product arrived with easy to follow instructions, as well as the link for an installation instruction video. I have never installed doorknobs or locks before. I was ecstatic with how easy the installation process was. The fingerprints were super easy to add (way easier than adding to a cell phone). So far the product seems to be pretty durable. The lock system works perfectly. Locking immediately upon closing and overall, the unlock fuction works properly about 98% of the time, the other 2% of the time I have to reapply my thumb. I just finished installing this and love it. I will update if anything changes but here is some info for you if you run into having too small a hole for this to line up. If you look at the image with the tape measure, you should see the outline of my old door knob by the ring around the wood. You can also see how the right screw hole was super tight to the side of the wood. The other part slips over what you see in that image so I used a steak knife to etch out some space around it for it to fit. That was step one. The second piece you install is the inside of the room half where you screw the screws into. This half has a bump out that's designed to center it in the hole and lock it in more tightly. Since my hole didn't line up, this bump out had to go. I took it apart and put it in a vice and using a sawzall I cut it off as you can see in the second image. The first half locks in both just fine and the second half having this enlarged bump out isn't at all necessary in my opinion. The door knob finally fit perfectly and is as secure as it would be otherwise. Hope that makes sense to those in the same situation. Update: The app stopped working and will not allow me to add it again. 4 nights of it installed and I got a notification saying it being lost. Followed the steps to try to add it again but it dropped it from the list and won't let me add it again. Brand new batteries, fingerprint still works, for now, but the app is pure crap. The door knob will soon lose the fingerprint function without the app from what I read so all I bought was a very expensive key knob. Waste of lots of time and now returning it. Update 2: I was contacted by the seller and was given my money back. Upgraded from 2 back to 5 stars. They said my issue would be fixed in future sales due to a fix in April. Not sure how that fix would help existing orders other than maybe a firmware update of sorts, or maybe updated app. I'll continue to check. I updated to 5 stars because they contacted me right away and didn't even ask the for product back. I'd buy again if there was less losing it in the app as well as being more easily picked back up via app. The door knob still accepts my fingerprint regardless of app, but I still need the app to work which it still does not (since it lost my particular knob). KEEP the card with the QR code you scan in. Without it you will be in my situation and unable to reconnect it to the app (until they fix this). ... show more
