Ran into a hiccup with the first order of the metal detector I ordered for Christmas. The shipper lost the first one I ordered enroute so I had to re-order. I waited until Christmas was over to re-order. Anyhow, everyone was anxiously awaiting it. I got it assembled a couple nights ago, but didn't have a chance to try it out. My son got home, sees it propped up in the corner and first thing he asks is if I tested it. I told him I didn't have time. So what's he do? He grabs it, turns it on and comes over to my chair and directs it to my knees. It goes off quite loud. He exclaims, "yep it works!!" It detected my titanium knees quite well. Right now we took it to visit my daughters family in Florida. My teenage granddaughter and 4 year old grandson took it out this afternoon and had no problem finding buried items. They live on a mini farm so no shortage of things to find. They had a blast. The beach will be the next stop. Haven't had a chance to really do anything challenging yet. If I have any issues I will revise accordingly. I do have one nit though. It does not come with a full manual. The full manual can be downloaded online. If someone older or not familiar with computers ordered this they probably would be very frustrated. ... show more

Was very easy to assemble And it is very easy to understand how to use it I recommend watching a couple U tubers like aquachigger , he’s a guy that detects all kinds of stuff to see how it is done you will pick up some pointers on how to use it

Great detector for beginners or, in my case, a return to a hobby. The features you get for the price are crazy good. The pinpoint feature alone makes this an easy decision if you are comparing this to some cheaper options. Right out of the box the batteries came installed, and it was set to coins. I took about 2 minutes to piece it together and tested some coins and nails on the ground to see if it could discriminate. It worked flawlessly.
