Excellent, quality product... slightly 'challenging' (but not bad) to fold because of locking mechanism but I'm not sure how it could be designed differently because locking mechanism is essential for safety. This garden stool, garden kneeler (with handles to help get back to standing position) is a blessing for Seniors and younger gardeners alike... if you're into gardening and/or other projects, it's lightweight, convenient and comfortable to use and a good investment... your back, knees and body will thank you and, hopefully, hurt less and last longer! I received this today, so it is brand new. I will review next summer and let you know how it holds up. I knelt on it and it has great cushioning. Easy to open and close. Seat, nice and low to the ground so bending over from a seated position is comfortable. Both my husband and I are having a hard time getting up after kneeling and working in the yard or on the floor or in the bottom kitchen cabinets. This helps by making kneeling more comfortable and the the metal legs are great to push up off of when it is turned upside down for kneeling. Great buy!
