These are great for easy on and off but try e catch is that you better tie a knot in the end of your rope unless you want to lose a fender.

    • Simplifies Fender Handling - A Must-Have Item
I single hand a 45' M/V 95% of the time. That means that after departing or prior to arrival, out of necessity, I find an open area to retrieve or set the fenders. Given the difference in dock heights, this means that oftentimes I have to adjust the fender lines to accommodate the varying heights of the docks. Well... given that time is of the essence when you're the only one on board, these fender hangar adjusters are an outstanding addition to ease the workload. They clip nicely to my upper rail, and they easily extend or retract the fenders in one move (be sure to have a figure 8 knot on the bitter end so as not to lose your fender...). When I do have crew aboard, they intuitively understand how the fender hangars work and voila -- perfect fender heights every time. I'll never go back. These are a must-have item. Put your boy scout knot tying manual away these are your answer. I attached these on 3-4 ft of sections of rope for my fenders, just like magic no more fussing with tying knots to get fenders at right height.

I can set up my fenders in seconds with these. Easier than tying knots. Simple and cheap, very durable. I have 7/8” rails and they fit perfectly. Not experienced with other sizes. I keep the fender, rope, and hanger together in a locker, clip it to the rail, adjust to taste, and done. Later they pop right off with a quick twist. ... show more
