You could buy four of the big box store junk for one of these, and I have, they're useless or worse (cut yourself on the hose clamp for instance). Buy one of these and be done with it. It's big and tough abd fixed my hose that someone ran over with the lawn mower. I had to buy both sides separate but that's the breaks when you get wicked with the mower. Flexzilla quality is unmatched. I've tried several different brands and I'll never buy anything but flexzilla again. I used the 100 foot hose for 2c years cleaning gutters from the rooftop so it was dragged across sandpaper shingles, tiles, you name it. Avd only the lawn mower could take it out. Never even a leak. bought a 50' hose and cut to make two custom length hoses for the RV. fitting is more professional looking than a hose clamp end and these fittings are water safe. most brass fittings contain lead. used on a flexzilla hose and it was really easy to install. Flexzilla hoses are the best as they flex in cold weather. I now am using on the camper and have used for years on my air compressor to below zero degrees. ... show more

This hose repair kit worked perfectly for me. I wish I had taken a set of before and after shots ... it was spewing water 3 feet high in all directions at the hose connection - one hose was just a bit corroded and chewed up looking on the connector, but it was leaking terribly. It took me about 15-20 minutes (mainly due to having to fetch the tools I did not bring with me) ... a simple snip with the tin shears (had to struggle a wee bit with this) to remove the "bad" hose end, utility knife to remove some of the reinforcing rib piece inside the hose, then installed the 3 pieces of this kit and tightened up well with a couple of adjustable wrenches. I'm a small 62 yo woman and had no trouble at all with this repair - absolutely NO leak, and looks really nice too. ... show more

I have tried MANY different styles of hose end replacements and none have impressed me quite as much as this Flexzilla male end. The machining tolerances on the threads are great. It amazes me that they can sell this product so cheap. If you're tired of cheap plastic, or soft bare metals that tend to corrode, I highly recommend this anodized piece, even if you don't have a Flexzilla hose (super thick and super thin hoses might not work, mine has aprx 3/32-1/8" wall thickness) ... show more

Great product very easy to put on the hose, the only thing is that when it gets tightened the paint or powder coat does get scratches. I used two adjustable wrenchs like is shown in their video but it did get marked up. I would buy these again just because they work great.
