So I got this to lift a 500# wood stove into place, and I nearly went with the 3/4T version but this one is more compact and comes with a 'handsome' carrying case, so the decision was easy. My only concern was the short length of the handle, and would it provide enough leverage? Immediately I took it to the garage and proceeded to lift the stove with no issues whatsoever. I suppose when I want to lift something closer to the capacity of the hoist it will be a little more difficult, but for the foreseeable future this should handle anything I need. It is a little unnerving looking at those small chain links under load, but it IS rated for 1100# ... show more
