Very durable. My dogs have not chewed through this and I have recommended this one to so many people I have a poodle and dachshund and I got the bigger one. I use this leash to do an 8 symbol and use as a gentle leader for training. My tiktok and instagram is Cedarcreekcanines where I show case training my poodle with it. NO MORE PULLING. Just buy this already. I am so glad my girl doesn’t pull gentle leader training is only meant to use for a little while only when out on walks for a short period of time. Correcting them and rewarding with treats. Once they get the hang out if. Training daily for about 6 months you can use it as a regular leash and no more pulling. I’ve even used it with my 80lb Rottweiler. Harness wouldn’t stop him from pulling, front leader wouldn’t stop him, choke collar, nothing at all I did the infinity symbol with the leash placed one side on his neck at the very top near his ears and the other end on his nose. DO NOT put in the middle of their throat. He no longer pulls either. During training teach them to look at you, pay attention to you. Have lots of treats. When I take my puppy out for walks every morning ppl tell me how well he walks with me and want to know how I get him to do it, I tell them it is the leash. They all are using ether leash on a collar or a harness and they all tell me the same thing, I am to afraid that they will choak themselves with it, I tell them all the same thing, he gets to a point on the leash where it is tight and he falls back a little to loosen up the leash, also there is a learning curve on it for the owner and the dog, the owner just needs to relax and the dog needs to learn not to pull. btw, if you have a collar on your dog and are using this, place this leash above the collar, below the collar they will just pull you ... show more

As a dog trainer, I consider a good British slip lead to be an essential tool. It is responsive to movement, which helps in communicating with the dog, can be configured in a variety of ways (standard slip collar, nose loop, head collar, makeshift harness, emergency muzzle, or even a double-ended leash in a pinch) to manage a variety of situations, and is infinitely adjustable — I can walk a 12-lb. Jack Russell terrier mix or a 100-lb. Ovcharka with the same tool. I use slip leads in my obedience classes, but they’re not always available locally, and when you find them, they’re expensive. We have two adult mini-schnauzers and a 1 year old golden doodle. In the past we had used retractable leashes with the schnauzers and finally hit the point where we were tired of how out of control they’d get. They’d wrap around us, trees, each other, etc. now with 3 dogs we decided it was time to train all three on how to walk by our sides and we bought these to help with that. While the dogs at first didn’t like them - especially one of the schnauzer’s who was use to “leading” instead of being led - soon we found that the dogs behaved much better that alone made these worth it. But the quality of these is great and they are very easy to use. The handle is durable and very comfortable. They are also sturdy and strong leashes and our dogs quickly learned not to pull as we hooked the leash around the top of their neck right behind their ears. We also like that the leashes are thick and strong and sturdy but have a flexibility to bend and wrap up much easier than another brand we considered from a pet store. ... show more

If you’re looking for a high quality leash, this is it. Sometimes others feel a little to plastic or light but this one really measures up to the job. It is a little stiff in the beginning but after a few uses, it starts taking shape; that’s how you know it’s amazing quality. Colors are also true to the product and I’ll gladly be relying on this listing if I need any replacements. I love the concept, but it needs improvement. I got this leash for my fear-aggressive labrabull, so it’s important that he stay contained; however, the small leather part which is supposed to hold the leash in place immediately starts to slide because it’s too loose and has been from Day 1. I probably could have sent it back, I don’t know, but it’s a hassle due to me having to drive to a facility that’s always closed when I get there. Great for my pitbull foster pup. He’s strong and about 60lb, so when he sees a squirrel he can sure pull! I use this as a wrap around harness to keep him from yanking and it works fabulously. It’s also smoother in texture on my hand, as others have left rope burn over time. Will definitely buy more colors to match other collars! ... show more
