I bought this raincoat because I walk to work, and live in Japan, where we have heavy rains almost all summer. I needed something light, something waterproof, and something cute and pink, and this coat checked all of my boxes! The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the coat was surprisingly well-made for the price. No loose threads, etc. The fit is so flattering, and I love that I can cinch the coat at the waist with the belt to make my curves POP. The material is incredibly light that even when I wear it in 80°F/27°C weather, I don’t feel like I’m suffocating in the heat. Of course, it is still a coat, so I am sweaty, but it’s minor. Most importantly, the heavy rains during my 1.5 mi/2 km walk to work are no match for this coat. I get to work perfectly dry! I really love this jacket BUT one simple thing could have made it perfect. The hood is great - it detaches and isn’t a weird point like so many others - but if it had a drawstring to keep it from flying off each time the wind blows that would be great, especially since it’s usually windy when it rains. Other than that it’s a great jacket, well made and lined, nice navy blue color with matching belt. I get lots of compliments. It’s nice for a spring or fall day and makes layering easy. I wear it casual as well as dressed up because it’s so versatile. Just that detail with the hood could have made this the last raincoat/spring jacket I ever bought. Very nice quality and I like the quilt lining. I usually wear a 2X in a shirt but wanted the coat to fit a little loose over other clothes, so I ordered the 3 X. The arms are a little long but manageable. Would recommend this coat for anyone looking for a nice dress coat for cooler wet weather, has a nice hood too! ... show more

I ordered this jacket in medium as I am 5'1" and 130 lbs and medium was recommended when I ordered it. I usually wear medium in jackets and tops so it seemed like it would be the right size. However, it was too small all over, especially under the arms and across the back. The jacket is lined and pretty. I wish it would have fit better ... show more

After trying several other trench coats this is by far the one! I always read reviews so I’ll try & be informative. First, the fit, (I’m 5’5 144lbs 39x31x39, hourglass shape, athletic build with broad shoulders). I ordered the M. Perfect fit with extra room for a chunky sweater. The item is lined and comes with a hood that snaps on & is not overly cumbersome. I have yet to wear it, however it feels light enough for a 70 degree rainy day, yet warm enough for “chill to the bone” rainy days too. In colder months layered properly that is, you’d be fine. Belt is perfect length, and after tied/buckled, the bottom fabric is still somewhat fitted & doesn’t flare out with a lot of extra fabric, like a bell (a problem I found with many other trenches). There is no slit in the back. It has nice structure all around without feeling constricted. The shoulders and under the armpits are roomy, even though I have broad shoulders, as mentioned. Color- I got the grey, elegant & quite beautiful. It’s not too shiny but still has a slight sheen to it but not tacky or cheap looking. It will definitely enhance any outfit I own. I’m actually waiting on another from Amazon and know I’ll be returning it bc this is the one! Considering ordering another, worth the money on this item ladies. Hope this helped. ... show more

    • Beautiful Coat but ....

The red coat is a beautiful color, perfect color or red. The jacket fits large so I'd go down 1 size, as I ordered an XL and it was huge and re-ordered a Large. The first package arrived beautifully packaged. Brand new coat fold in plastic with cardboard and tissue paper between folds. Hung it to release creases and within a short period the coat hung perfectly and ready to wear. Has a detachable hood. However, the re-order arrived in a generic plastic bag and when I open it the coat was literally rolled up in a ball, hood detached and stuck in the bag. Completely unbuttoned with belt detached. It was a wrinkled mess and clearly a return without any care of re-packaging it. It's been hanging for 2 days and still just as wrinkled as it was balled up in the bag. I was so disappointed because nobody wants to receive an item that they took care in selecting arrive in this condition and we don't want to know that somebody else had it, clearly wore it and returned it and it was immediately shipped out to an unsuspecting customer knowing that it had been worn and unclean. The 2nd order took a bit longer to receive than the 1st order (couple of weeks) and I'm returning it again and this time not because of sizing but because of the condition of the coat upon arrival.
