These blades are awesome!!!!! I ordered them because i needed to cut some very small text in adhesive vinyl with my cameo and the regular cameo blade wasn't doing a great job. I read on the internet that a cb09 blade was good for intricate cuts. Ummm...what???? I had never even heard of that, but if course I found them on Amazon. These come with a holder, blades in 3 different sizes and springs. You assemble them yourself but it is very easy. Mine did not come with instructions, but there are lots of you tube videos that show you how to do it. The blade sizes are 60degree, 45degree and 30degree. You want to select the blade depending on what material/project you are cutting. Mine didn't come labeled but they are color coded (30-yellow, 45-red, 60-blue). They also don't adjust numerically like the cameo blades do, you just have to eyeball it. This has not been hard for me. If you have an old cameo blade, you can set that numerically and then adjust the cb09 blade to look visually the same. The 60degree is good for intricate cuts and thin material like regular adhesive vinyl, so it worked awesome for my small text. The 45degree is good for standard materials like cardstock and thicker vinyl. The 30degree is good for thicker materials like fabric and heavyweight cardstock. After I finished my first project a few months ago, I have used only these blades with my cameo. In my opinion they work way better than the silhouette rachet blade, plus they are a way better value since you get a bunch of each size. Sometimes you may need to adjust the blade size depending on what you are cutting. Recently, i was cutting some adhesive glitter vinyl using the 60degree blade. I was having trouble cutting it all the way through, even after adjusting the blade and cut settings. After a few failed attempts, I finally switched to a 45degree blade and it cut the vinyl like butter!!!!! I had the same issue several others had where my CB09 wouldn't fit in the Silhouette adapter well enough to allow it to close. I was pretty bummed about it because I had already tried a CB09 from a different vendor with the same results. I had intended to return it but my husband is very handy and capable so I asked him if he'd be able to file down the ring that is supposed to fit in the groove of the adapter. He said "absolutely!", put it in his drill press to hold it steady and filed it down. Then he did the other one too and now I have two different CB09 holders that will work in my machine. I used this one tonight to cut a bunch of boxes out of kraft paper and it cut beautifully. I got a much cleaner cut with this adapter and blade than I've ever gotten from a Silhouette blade. Ideally it would have fit without modification but since my husband was able to take care of it I'm happy with it. ... show more

I thought the Silhouette Cameo 3 was mechanically trash after a decade of awful corners and lines that weren't perfectly straight. I just accepted it. I didn't know how wrong I was. Turns out, the problem was the Silhouette autoblade all along. The CB09 is a fraction of the price, easy to set up, and produces perfect 90deg corners and straight lines. Night and day difference. Best purchase I've made all year. As a bonus, I don't have to listen to the autoblade CLACK CLACK CLACK at the beginning of each job anymore. I hit send and it just... cuts. ... show more

I bought this set at a time when all of the Silhouette blades for Cameo 3 were out of stock every where, online and in stores. The carrier is well constructed, no complaints there, it is a bit annoying to have to change the position of the blade everytime you're going to cut, but you have to do that with the Cameo premium blade as well. The difference is, this one has no numbers or indicators that tell you how much of the blade is out, you have to just get a feel for it and how it works for you. As for the blades, they're only good for a few cuts. The reason you get a lot of blades is because they don't last long. I mostly work with cardstock and vinyl. Do switch out the blades between each, use the different angles of the blades for what they are indicated for. So far I have for through 1 blades per project with cardstock. If I use the same blade for cardstock and vinyl, the vinyl won't cut with the same precision. Hence, the 3 stars. ... show more
