This smart body scale is feature rich, accurate, and priced to sell. The scale uses three AA batteries which come preinstalled. These power a bright, extra-large LED display that lets me read my weight without squinting at tiny numbers. You’d think this would be a standard scale feature from every manufacturer, but it isn’t. The scale is easy to use. Step on and off quickly to calibrate and reconnect Bluetooth. Then step on and wait a few seconds in your bare feet while it weighs you and measures 13 different metrics that you can view in the free VeSync app on your smartphone. Initial set up took less than a minute. Written instructions are in the box and affixed to the scale with a removable decal. The ladder is a nice touch, although the text on the decal is small and hard to read. This scale's strength for the price point is its sensors. They deliver consistent measurements against metrics such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, and weight that closely match readings on my provider’s scale. If you download the free VeSync app, you can pair the scale to your phone via Bluetooth to view and track these metrics over time. The app walks you through steps for initial sync set up. Within minutes, you're ready to start tracking progress. The app does not maintain a continuous Bluetooth connection so you’ll need launch the app, then tap on the scale first to initiate a connection every time you use it. A bit annoying, yes, but it saves power so I can see why they did it. You’ll also want to disconnect the Bluetooth connection after using the scale to ensure that another scale user’s weight isn’t captured in your app— though the app will helpfully asks about this if weight changes dramatically in a short time. The VeSync app is easy to use, if a bit cluttered with promotions for other of the manufacturer’s products. It includes tools to track your fitness journey and start a nutrition regimen. The app can connect to Amazon’s Alexa and syncs with popular fitness apps like Apple Health, Google Fit, and FitBit. Apple Health can conserve as a conduit to share data with other applications. I bought this scale because I recently had a baby and wanted to lose my last little bit of baby weight. This scale was exactly what I needed. It keeps you so motivated. It’s a smart scale you step on it with your bare feet and the little sensors are able to calculate your weight and 12 different metrics so you can fully understand your body. It’s best to weigh yourself first thing in the morning after you pee each day for the best measurement. There is a downloadable app for this Bluetooth scale that sends all the information to your phone and tracks it there. This keeps me super motivated because it tracks everything for me everyday and I have physical numbers and chart I can look at to see my progress. It allows you to make a goal. My goal was to be at 120 pounds again and it had me losing 1 pound a week to meet my goal. I loved using this scale so much and seeing my numbers drop each day that I have lost 6.3 pounds in 7 days. Only 8 more to go to get to my target goal. This scale is very easy to use. My toddler can use it. It is not heavy or cheaply made. It was a steal for the price. Other scales like these are way more. I love the convenience of the app. After you have a smart scale you will never want to go back to a traditional scale. I don’t have any problems with the scale going back to zero and I have found the measurements it gives very accurate. It even has baby mode on the scale if you want to use it to measure your baby. Which is also pretty accurate. I weighed my baby before the doctors appointment and when we went there the doctor gave us the same weight. This scale is very good for the price. It's easy to set up with your smartphone. I'm quite pleased with tracking my weight loss journey through the app. I'm also happy with its aesthetics and how it is thin enough to slide right under my bathroom rack, taking up no extra room at all
