I purchased Happy and was looking for a shade that was not to dark, but was softer in color and the added lip moisturizing benefits was an extra plus! My coloring is between the medium tone model and the darker model. The lipstick color was fabulous for me. I hope lighting will strike twice and am ordering two more colors. As an older woman I don’t need my lips to enter the room before I do and this shade gives me the shine and a flattering soft color - just what I was looking for! There are ONLY two words to describe this E.L.F. product and those two words could ONLY BE, ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !! When I received my very first order of "Hydrating Core Lip Shine", for whatever the reason, I thought it was another name brand I will not mention. After the third day of applying this, I finally picked up the container to read it. I actually picked it up because I was just SO impressed with it. To my utter amazement, I realized it was E.L.F. 'WOW,' I thought to myself. 'It can't be'. It is just that GREAT a product !! Needless to say, I ordered three more yesterday (13 April 2024) and they were just delivered. This lip hydration balm is just the ABSOLUTE best. There is NO other way to describe it. The price is SO reasonable, also. A fourth of the MORE expensive brands. You will NOT regret ordering E.L.F.     • It's a great lip product, and it's almost worth the hype.
Color: Ecstatic Size: 0.09 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Pros: it's moisturizing, luxurious-feeling, vegan, and highly affordable. Cons: The main reason why I was interested in this product is that I'd heard that this shade was a dupe for Clinique's Black Honey. I agree it's a very similar product. However, I was mildly disappointed to find that this shade of lip color suits me no better than Black Honey, which I tried over twenty years ago. While Black Honey and its dupes are touted as a shade that is universally flattering, that's really an exaggeration. It's not so much that "this shade looks terrific on everybody," it's more like "this shade doesn't look terrible on anyone." On me, it's a purplish berry color that doesn't exactly clash with my skin tone, but it doesn't exactly complement it either. It just looks... okay. Nobody ever compliments me on this lip color when I wear it, unlike this other lipstick that I have, which gets me compliments from complete strangers at the supermarket every time I wear it. I think the issue is that Black Honey and all of its dupes are a little too cool, and my skin requires a slightly warmer lip color in order to look good. Having said that, I intend to keep wearing this because of its excellent moisturizing properties. Next time, I'll try the same Elf product but in one of the warmer shades, which I bet will look great on me. I think Giddy is the one that will work best on me, and if that one turns out to be too warm or too bright and saturated, Cheery will be my next pick. Giddy and Cheery appear to be very similar shades, except that Cheery seems to be more sheer and less saturated. ... show more

I love this brand because it is cruelty-free and that is the most important thing for me in a product, they are also vegan. The colors are beautiful, very good hydration and leaves a very nice shiny finish. It came with security seals. Originally received this product as a gift. I was skeptic of the quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the color - I loved it! It does not wear very long, I have to keep applying every few hours, especially as a lip biter.

Tried this lipstick due to the good reviews. Bought the color "Happy". It is pretty without being too dark or too light. Glides on and feels like a lip balm. It is not sticky at all. My lips feel moist with it on. Good product! Probably will order more shades since they are so affordable. 👍👏

This is my go to lip gloss. It’s a perfect color with a beige tone, skin and dark hair. It’s not too dark and it’s not Too light. It’s very creamy and has a nice little gloss on your lips. It doesn’t have any taste, but it does feel very good.

As a super pale person with a double lip line, I find it impossible to find the right "just a tiny hint of color" lip product. Most nude lip stick colors are too peachy for me, but I absolutely adore how this looks and feels!! I can't wait to try other colors in this brand! *update* I loved "happy" so much that I immediately bought "delightful" (in the second picture). It did NOT disappoint!
