Provides a breast-like latch with anti-colic function to help reduce air intake. Used daily for 1.5 months and still going strong. I lost a few ounces of milk when warming in a bottle warmer until I learned the white caps are there to warm the bottles bc when the nipple is on there are gaps to allow air to escape but when the pressure rises from being heated it causes the milk to escape from the top (starts when you get to 3+oz). The disc is to keep milk from leaking when traveling if the bottle will not remain upright. ... show more

We tried mams bottles with size 0 nipples and they were still too fast of a flow for my baby. She was getting so much air when she drank which caused colic issues. We switched to these bottles and they help so much! The flow is perfect for my baby and she isn’t getting as much air. The bottles do leak if you don’t use the leak proof caps on them when traveling. I love the Dr. Browns bottles, BUT there are some things I would like to change. I've noticed with the wide mouth bottles, they tend to leak of the round air flow system isn't perfectly flush with the actual bottle- even when it's underfilled (not filled to the max line). cleaning could be easier- I had found some left over milk residue on the (again) round air flow system hiding in the crevices. but overall, I would not change my bottles preference. I do appreciate the different sizes that these bottles come in (skinny 4oz & 8oz, wide 5oz & 9oz). My son has larger lips and I find that he has a better time latching to the wide mouth nipples versus the skinny nips. ... show more

I was using the Dr Brown narrow bottles and my baby was experiencing a lot of spit up. So, I did some research and ordered the wide neck Bottles. They have made such a positive difference in my baby. First off, these are plastic bottles. I didn’t even realize that the product description says glass, so I was expecting plastic bottles when I ordered these and wasn’t disappointed. These bottles were an absolute lifesaver when my daughter had horrible colic. Baby swallows a lot less air and spits up a lot less. She prefers the wide nipples much more than the original Dr. Brown’s. Like other reviewers, I also experienced leaks. This didn’t start happening to us until my daughter started eating 5oz (the maximum for these bottles). I’d put 5oz of water in the bottle and after I would add the formula powder it would be above the max fill line. I noticed leaks don’t happen if I press down as I screw the lid on. It’s also inconvenient that the travel lid that goes over the nipple doesn’t prevent leaks. Luckily, I learned this when there was less than half an ounce left, but it went everywhere inside the diaper bag. You need to use a special chip underneath the nipple (that’s provided in this set) if you travel with liquid in the bottle. These leaks were a relatively minor inconvenience for us. With how well these helped my daughter during her colicky phase and continue to work well, I still give these a 4/5. ... show more
