  • Not a substitute for gas powered washer.
Very easy to use, very handy product. You must understand though that this is no substitute for a high powered pressure washer. It’s not going to strip clean your driveway or dirty sidewalks. But for washing your car, or knocking mildew off your exterior windows or house trim, or perhaps cleaning a wood deck, this is an extremely handy tool. I recommend using a minimum of 6ah battery, even then you only get about 30 mins of run time before battery is drained. And with a battery that large it does begin to get a little heavy, fortunately it’s design allows it to be easily handled comfortably with two hands. ... show more

  • Not Bad for the Price
This is not a replacement for an electric or gas pressure washer. But it does do a good job increasing the pressure of your hose's water flow. It is pretty heavy, especially if you are using 6.0 Amp Hour batteries which I recommend you do. I washed two cars this afternoon and I went through 3 x 6.0 Amp batteries and a 20V power stack battery. The foam cannon soap bottle does work, but it consumes the soap very fast. Would be nice if the dilution rate had some adjustment on it. Also, I worry that the quick connect fitting at the water filter is a weak spot. Seems like a lot of weight pulling on this plastic piece. I would purchase again. It is much easier to use than having to drag out a full plow pressure washer and does provide a pretty powerful stream. ... show more

  • Adjust your expectations and it’s a great tool
I understand the contempt this thing gets. Dewalt has marketed it as a power washer and it is not that. Poor move on Dewalt’s part, especially since this is a super handy tool. I live on several acres in the country. My well pump makes terrible water pressure with even a 50 ft hose and that’s barely long enough to reach my driveway. This tool plus a five gallon bucket has allowed me to clean things that have not been cleaned in years. The kids’ play set, the pole barn, the retaining wall blocks, and many others. It’s not very strong but I do think it lives up to its 550 ft lb rating and that has been plenty for me. The people who say it’s not stronger than their garden hose must have insanely powerful water pressure. Don’t think of this tool as a power washer. Think of it as a highly portable, well-pressurized garden hose. If that sounds like something you need, it is definitely worth the cost. ... show more

  • This thing is gutless and worthless.
I bought this to wash my car, and it barely does that. It has almost no pressure when using it from a water bucket. I had to hook it up to a hose to get a slightly useable pressure. The soap sprayer is worthless. It sprays about a foot out of the nozzle, and makes you stand so close that you get covered in soap when trying to use it. The sprayer isn't much better. I tried the different nozzles, and with the tightest spray, I had to hold it 3in from my car to get it to actually remove any dirt or bugs. I washed the car with it three times, soaping the car twice, and rinsing it three times. It didn't even have enough pressure to wash all of the soap off the car. It left a layer of spots and soapy residue on the roof of the car where I couldn't get it close enough to have the pressure really wash the grime off. The garden sprayer I use to water my plants has more pressure, moves more water, and does a better job cleaning my car then this tool that cost ten times as much. I've never been so disappointed in a tool, especially a DeWalt tool, in my life. Buy a real pressure washer, and avoid this one at all cost. ... show more

  • Hard to use, fairly weak power, drains batteries fast. Not up to the normal Dewalt quality.
It's fine, but is frustrating in a bunch of ways. The design is pretty unintuitive. There are a bunch of ways it'll "not work" and it's hard to know why: - Instructions are bad - Not really clear how to attach the draw hose - You have to hold down the trigger and leave it running for a long time before it sucks up enough water to get pressure to use. Until then it'll be a weak stream and it's not clear why. - It drains batteries really fast. A normal 2.0 Ah battery will only get you a few minutes, and then it'll suddenly shut off, even though the battery still has charge. - The stream is pretty weak. Good enough for light work but not heavy power washing. So between refilling the bucket to draw water from and swapping batteries, finishing a job requires a lot of stopping and starting. ... show more

  • I knew the limitations before I purchased
This Dewalt Power Cleaner is only a 500 psi washer. That is not a lot of pressure. I have a heavy duty washer for other things. I wanted this washer for cleaning my vehicles. The foam cannon is ok, nothing great, but It works. It is easy to carry and quick to set up. That is the main reason I wanted this. When I first stated it up there were leaks everywhere. You really have to snap the hose connecter into the machine with a bit of force and ensure everything is tight. It likely will not leak if you do this. It's perfect for washing cars, trailers and motorcycles because you should not use a really strong washer on your vehicles. It gets the job done and it's easy to use. If you looking for something to clean driveways or other tough to clean areas, this is for sure not the washer your looking for. You would want something well over 1000 psi for those jobs. But for a couple hundred dollars, this is not a bad washer for vehicles and small easy to clean jobs. ... show more

  • Great little tool
Like most people, I read the reviews about the DeWalt pressure washer and I was skeptical. But the more I read, the more I decided to give it a shot. All the people that wrote this tool is a down version of an actual big pressure washer, BUT a step up from just using the hose, perfect way to describe it. It is easy to get running and what is nice, only one hose to worry about and no cords. It doesn't have massive power, but I was impressed with what it can do. Don't buy this if you need the full deal of a pressure washer, but if you are like me, I just wanted to give my garden hose a bit more bite when cleaning up the mower and my SBS. ... show more
