  • Always quality car parts
This is the third time I have ordered brakes from this company, each time for a different car. These are quality brake pads and rotors. They stand up very well to my heavy braking style and are made of quality material. I love that they put in a can of brake cleaner and grease with every order.

  • Don't Buy - Product is Poor Quality, Warranty is Worse
I purchased these brakes thinking that a 4/5 star was trustworthy and knowing that Detroit Axle has a decent reputation, based on research. I received the brakes and the kit came with everything I needed. Installation was pretty standard for brakes and everything went smoothly. About 1,000 miles after installing the brakes, I started to notice how worn down the rotors were becoming (already!) and how much brake dust was coming from the pads. After 2,000 miles, the brakes are super loud while stopping and now make a metal grinding noise. I spoke to their support and they said in order to claim warranty, I would have to go to a mechanic and have them confirm the issue. I took time out of my day and took the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership confirmed that there were groves already and that they recommend replacing the rotors and pads. After getting their diagnosis, I submitted it to Detroit Axle support and didn't hear anything back after 2 days. I decided to call their support line and was on hold for a while before getting through. They reviewed the documentation that I sent over and said that they would be able to process the warranty claim. The warranty claim covers their parts but does not cover shipping. So in order for me to get a replacement, I would have had to pay $120 in shipping to receive the new rotors and pads. The original kit was $190. Support said they would give me a deal and take $10 off, big whoop. Support also said that since these brakes were installed, they are ineligible for a return. Overall, I have had a terrible experience with the product and the company. I highly suggest staying away from this product. There are other reviews that have similar experiences and I guarantee you will have the same if you purchase them. ... show more

  • Poor quality and customer service
I installed this brake and rotor kit on my wife's 2015 Dodge Durango. I found this product to be of poor quality. Within 3 days of installation the front rims where covered black with brake dust and the pedal required more travel to stop as effectively as previous. Yes, I did run through the correct bedding break-in procedure. I contacted Detroit axle and after a 45 minute hold, they shipped me a new set pads. I installed the new set and found the same issues. Heavy brake dust and poor stopping. I contacted Detroit axle again and after a 119 minute hold, yes that's right, almost a two hour phone call, I was informed by a supervisor, that I was not eligible for a return and refund since the brakes were already installed on the vehicle. Customer's service stated that they have already done enough by sending me out a second set of pads. Also, that they have not seen any issues reported with this product line. If I had to wait 119 minutes on the phone to speak with a supervisor, this company has more issues and concerns than they are letting on. I took the Detroit axle kit off my wife's vehicle and replaced it with a set of Akebono pads and Raybestos rotors. Night and day difference. I highly recommend the Akebono pads and Raybestos rotors, good combination. As of current, the brake kit was shipped back to Detroit axle and I have been working with Amazon to receive a refund. Issue is that Detroit axle is a third party vendor through Amazon and blocking my refund. I will attempt to update this review when I hear back as to my return. Bottom line, do not waste your time and money on a deal that seem to good to be true. ... show more
