I was skeptical about this carseat at first, but got this one because I am about to have my third baby and honestly need something lighter to make my life a little easier with 3 kids lol But oh my goodness! This carseat exceeded my expectations! First, it really is lite weight. like it weighs less than my old bucket seat WITH the base still on it! how ?! I love it! I will say one of the ways they may have made it happen was by leaving out some extra padding, so its not the softest once your baby grows out of the newborn inserts, but its still comfy I think. which leads me to my next point! Second, its so breathable! The fabric is cool to the touch and does not feel like it will hold heat like other fabrics. We live in a warmer climate so having a airy fabric is great! Even the canopy is lite and should keep a healthy air flow in the bucket seat when it is up. Third (and possibly my favorite) the manual for this carseat IS. SO. THOUGHT. THROUGH!!! It was super easy to read, and very very easy to figure out how to adjust the seat, the safety limitations and how to actually use it and safely secure your child. I cannot express how many parents do not read their carseat manual and do not care to dig for the safety information. But this manual has a majority of its info in the first 10 pages, and then even has the installation instructions on the base, and the expiration date on the carseat. You have no excuse to not know how to properly use this carseat and safely secure your child its written so well. Overall, while I wish it was more padded for when I have to take the infant inserts out...I still really like this carseat and am excited to bring our little one home in it soon! Got this for my latest grandson that was born recently. Wanted to have something nice and comfortable while be safe and lightweight. This has met all those marks it is very easy to lock in place, adjustable headrest, side impact protection just to name a few highlights. Very well made and now thinking about getting one of Cybex strollers. Nice and breathable to keep the little on cool in the warm weather it can get very hot here in Oklahoma so that is a must have feature for warmer climates. I've been checking out Cybex strollers for several years now. Before selecting this one, make sure it's compatible with the stroller you intend to use. Typically you'd pick Cybex but I have no idea if this would work with some other brand stroller. There is another version of this for about $150 more with more features. This one is 3 lbs less though. For this one: Pros =cybex quality =4 color selections =On the side of it is the Linear Side Impact (L.S.P) protection system that reduces forces in a side impact crash. =In-Shell Air Ventilation. While they don't really explain what is in the shell of the car sat there are vents that look like Y's that allow air to flow through to the dear baby =Great looking base. It's easy to install. =Light to carry =Canopy is easy to move and provides a lot of coverage Features = Chemical-free flame-resistant fabric Standard among similar =UVP protection vs. sun (against fading etc). The canopy folds down very nicely to block out sun. Cons =as with most Cybex items, a higher tier-ed item that may not be affordable ... show more

Our friends are having a little boy within the next month and I have been looking online for a gift for the baby shower and when I saw this item pop up in my feed, I knew this was going to make the perfect baby car seat for them. The carrier itself is super lightweight and easy to carry which is good since our mom to be is a pretty petite person. It has side impact protection but what I really liked about this particular carrier was the ease of taking it in and out of the car. So when the baby falls asleep when she is driving she does not have to wake the baby up and just take the entire carrier right out of the car with her. Amazing! Love it! ... show more

Highly recommend. Overall great functionality without being overcomplicated. We are very happy with the Cybex Aton G car seat! The base is quick and easy to install, the car seat is light and functional and our little appears to be more comfortable in this car seat than others we have tried. The canopy is also easy to move, flexible and provides more coverage than others. I appreciate the removable newborn infant insert that folds back to create extra cushion; it helps support baby snugly. We especially like that our little one does not appear to overheat or sweat in this car seat which is great for the warm humid southern climate in the summer. ... show more
