Pretty straightforward assembly- instructions were easy to follow my husband put this together in like 30 min. It holds much more than expected and my 2 and 4 year old love it! Perfect height for them to grab toys and also now they love helping put toys away. Love this toy storage!

This bookcase is super cute, and it's the perfect size to go under our window in our nursery. Looking forward to filling it up with more books as our baby gets older. Only negatives I have to say is that it was confusing to put together (the instructions are as sparse as IKEA instructions), and the paint was scraped in a few places. Update: the seller issued me a full refund and apologized for any issues I had. They also told me I don’t need to send it back. So their customer service is fast and reliable but I still don’t recommend the white one of this as it’s not durable at all. So I ordered the white one and it got here pretty quick but I quickly seen a problem. It didn’t come with instructions. Annoying but ok I ordered 2 so maybe they put the instructions in the other one- no. Annoyed again. I try to put it together myself and quickly see it has a lot more parts than I thought and only half the parts are labeled. (Not that the label means anything I don’t have the instructions) so i boxed it up and messaged the seller asking for the instructions then a couple hours later I’m still annoyed by it so I decide to return it instead. Now the description said it was real wood so I was like cool I want real wood so it’s sturdy cuz my kids are crazy but when it got here I quickly realized that it meant only the legs are wood. The rest and the main part, is alll just MDF. I personally hate MDF with a burning passion it’s cheap and doesn’t last but always cost an arm and a leg. Couple days go by I haven’t gotten any notifications from the seller so I just print out the label and get ready to return it. Come to find out I need 2 different labels so I can’t return it yet. I thought I would just print the label twice and slap it on both packages then be on my way but no. So the UPS clerk tells me I can just call Amazon and they’ll send one over usually right away. So I use the bot message thing to contact customer service and they just tell me they’ll send the seller a message so they can give me the other label and tracking number but that’s gonna take like 2 days so I just have to go back home and wait. Going through things and I find out that the seller DID get back to me but Amazon never gave me a notification and to get to the conversation is so complicated I didn’t know how. So I tried to just put it together when I got home because well now I have the instructions and I’m annoyed about the labels and I STILL need toy storage so whatever. HOWEVER. As I’m putting this together on literally step 2 I’m putting a wood dowel in place and the part just chips. And I’m annoyed because the whole time from step 1 to 2 every part is just chipping like there’s no tomorrow. So I just decide screw it- I’ll just return it and wait for the stupid second label. As of today I’m vehemently annoyed and do not recommend anyone to buy this. Specifically the white one. Now I don’t know about the Natural one but hopefully that ones real wood for any future buyers. ... show more

Hard to put together. I’d say make sure two of you are putting this together because the little round tools need to stay in place as you put the side in. Don’t twist the screws more than once other wise it cracks. The front little borders of the shelf only have the one screw to keep it together and the wooden pieces that are on the ends of each panel make it hard to put the whole thing close enough to keep together. I hate returning stuff I buy so I just put it against something to keep the panel from falling . Also the leg has this piece where you insert the screw when putting the leg on. The leg peice was loose and again just propped it up… it is super cute but I feel like I wasted 130$ for something cheaply made… ... show more
