I would like to begin by saying that this is Cricut SMART vinyl. I use it with my Cricut Maker and it works just fine. The key is to INCREASE the pressure of the cut or it will not cut all the way through. Once this is done, it works like a charm!

I bought the gold version of the Smart Vinyl assuming that it was UV stabilized and Water Resistant like the other colors available. Unfortunately this is NOT true. I only noticed because I accidently bought the white roll as well, and its exterior properties are prominently listed. I cant exactly say it was misleading, just one of those cases where the actually description of the product changes when you change color. With that said, the vinyl is super high quality and looks great. Adhesion appears to be above average. Use the premium vinyl setting for textured metallic. I also used "More" pressure. The backing is top notch, so you arent going to cut through. ... show more

I know this was not it's designed use, but I used to to cover a square panel at work. Little soap and water under it made it easy to slide the bubbles out. When just let it sit in the sun to dry. It looks like something that might scratch easily, so we are careful when something gets on it.

I bought this to use on stainless mugs for my small wedding. Everyone got a mug with their name on it. After a year of using, the vinyl is still on our mugs! We do hand wash, so I'm sure that helps. I am really impressed with this permanent vinyl.
