Family and friends have enjoyed Cosori products for years and so we purchased this rice cooker and have been very pleased. As someone who makes products as part of their profession, I look for and appreciate attributes such as mechanical/electrical innovation, simplicity, durability, and materials quality, which I can tell this is a product of years of customer feedback and refining, thoughtful design, and rigorous testing. With the economy and rising prices I understand the desire to find things that are real inexpensive but I also look for a balance of quality and durability because we’re a family of 5 on a budget where rice often finds its way into our weekly meals. So yes, there are less expensive products and I’ve bought less expensive (and is why I’m having to buy a new product). On the flip side, this is not the most expensive. In other categories I’ve bought “the best” and have learned a common theme with these products (regardless of manufacturer): you get only marginally better quality at significantly higher prices. This an almost universal truth. So for this product and Cosori it was about the balance of price and quality and it seems they’ve found the “sweet spot” that was ideal for our needs. ... show more

So glad I bought this!!!! I have used every function for about six weeks. All rice and grains are perfect, cooking time adjusts during cooking cycle to ensure results. Wonderful steamer and slow cooker! Great to saute veggies &/or meat...then just reset to rice cycle, add rice and water, and cook dinner. Made perfect soups and chili on slow-cook cycle, again after sautéing veggies and meat. White and brown rice held on keep-warm for 24 hrs, and remained perfect! I added pecans, craisins, butter, and a little white wine to some leftover wild rice blend...then set on slow-cook for 20mins, I then tossed with rice paddle, and then the cooker held on keep-warm for a couple hours when dinner was delayed....and it was perfect! Yes, this Cosori takes a little longer to cook rice....but then aren't most good things better when not rushed!😎 This rice cooker performs perfectly! It is the best, and it comes with a two year warranty! It is a smart machine, so ignore reviews left by impatient simpletons that really want minute-rice! ... show more

Ok, I've only used this once, will update when I get more use out of it & let you know of versatility, results and durability. Like the size & style, a lot. Not too big, heavy or bulky so I think I'll leave it out on the counter at all times. Set up was super easy, as was my first try, Brown Rice. This made the brown rice perfectly and if you've tried to make it without a steamer, you know it's hard to get right. Even with a steamer, it can turn out wrong. I like that it gives you choices of fluffy, regular or firm. Tried fluffy & regular, they were both perfect. Clean-up was a breeze, the inner bowl cleans easily, the unit wipes down & dries, easily. I can tell I'll be using it a lot, just based on the ease of use/clean up. The display functions are super easy, total no brainer. NOTE: To the person who left the photo review claiming "rust". I noticed spots too, only on the night I forgot to use filtered water. Turned out to be mineral deposits that easily wiped away with warm soapy water, so I wouldn't let that person's photo or review deter you. IT'S NOT RUST. PRO TIP: Used DISTILLED water or at least filtered, in ANY appliance that creates steam. ... show more

We have a super large family, and when our big pressure cooker went out, I was really worried that this would be too small. We mainly need it for rice, which it has cooked better than our old cooker! It's cooked evenly from top to bottom. We do the maximum amount each time, and end up with about 20 cups cooked. My teenagers can easily use it, and it's easy to clean. The steamer works well too. I decided to go with this brand because of the excellent customer service that we'd had in the past for a Cosori air fryer that we own. I love the countdown timer on this one. 40 mins to perfectly cooked rice, and the timer helps to coordinate getting the other dishes out at the same time. I have been hesitant to buy a rice cooker for a while because I don't eat rice that much and find it easy enough to cook on the stovetop. But we've been eating a bit more rice lately and I also find myself frequently overcooking my morning oatmeal. When i realized that rice cookers can also make oatmeal, I figured it was worth a try and went to target and bought a cheap one. Well it did a pretty solid job on oatmeal to be honest, better than the results I get in a pot, consistently perfectly cooked (I use thick cut old fashioned rolled oats). However, it didn't do so great with rice. I mean it was ok, but the rice on the bottom seems to get overcooked and a little "crispy" in spots and the warming function will just dry it out more. Not wanting to spend hundreds on the fancy japanese ones I bought this for $85 to give it a try. And I did a side by side batch of the same rice in each machine, and this one wins easily. All the rice was perfectly cooked and tender, no crunch spots on the bottom, just perfectly soft and cooked throughout. And I swear, the rice tastes better. It is almost a little sweeter with a nicer flavor. I suspect that comes from the long slow cook time which might convert more starch to sugar. As a bonus, this machine is easier to clean up because you don't get starchy water bubbling up all over the lid. Overall, very pleased and I look forward to some of the other options like slow cooking for bone broth. It is probably a bit larger than we need for a small family, but not so huge as to be unwieldy. My only gripe is no "off" button so you either have to unplug it or wait for the keep warm cycle to run out. ... show more
