Update: March 30th 2024 It has been 5 months, and unfortunately the battery is no longer holding through even one round of straightening. I charge it fully when it dies, which takes over an hour. And than begins to die after about 20 minutes which takes about 5 just to heat up. It also does not heat up well enough to straighten anymore, even at the highest setting. Within those 5 months I have only used it a handful of times. I must also mention that my hair is no longer as long as it was in the picture from my first review. It is now at shoulder length. Was great while it lasted. Review from oct 2023: First I just want to say, ignore the bad reviews! I have a feeling people that are dissatisfied with this may not have even read the instructions. BUT ANYWAY, if you are thinking about getting one, BUY IT! I hesitated for weeks on buying this because of people’s negative reviews about the battery life. Which is a huge deal for something that is cordless and its soul purpose is to be a portable hair straightener lol. But I figured hey, if it’s true…I can just return it. First, look at the packaging! It immediately feels like it’s worth the money and I don’t even find $50 to be a lot for a good hair straightener. Packaging was beautiful. Following the instructions, I charged it for 2 hours before use. Read further instructions on how to correctly utilize it for my hair type. I was so excited to test it out! My hair is thick and wavy and usually takes a good 30-40 minutes to straighten. This took me maybe 15-20 minutes! I sectioned my hair and basically brushed it through my hair like I would when brushing and it straightened it almost effortlessly! It did not die, nor is the battery close to dying!! I love love love it! This was the first time, and so far so good. If I run into any issues, I will be sure to update my review! Hello, this was a mother's day gift from my husband. Just got it today. As you can see in the 1st picture my hair that's down is straight with the brush, the top have is still my natural hair...I had to stop and put the brush back on the charger....I did exactly what the instructions say. Let charge for 2 hours, part your hair in even strands etc and I'm like 20 minutes through and it's dead. I had to plug it back in to charge...me personally I think I could get my hair done faster with my straightener that I have but this heat up brush is definitely good for just a quick touch up. Wouldn't recommend using it to straighten the whole head of hair unless it's short and a 10 minute done thing. My hair as you can see is long, curly and think so definitely not good for a whole head of hair. Will definitely travel with it. But won't use it again to straighten my entire head of hair with it. It takes me 45 minutes to straighten my hair with my regular hair straightener. This is taking me a lot longer. Also I do not have a problem with it charging or heating. Just the fact that it dies to quickly. Hope this helps anyone else looking to buy the product...the last 2 photos one I just woke up from the 2nd one I used the brush to touch up my hair and it worked amazing...I let the brush charge all night long...I'm gonna try and use it again on my full head with a good charge and see how it goes but looks like it's really just made for quick touch ups when your out and about. ... show more

The device works fine and feels nice in the hand, heats up fairly quickly, a little overpriced in my opinion. It does straighten hair but I have fine thin hair and was under the impression it would give me a kind of blow out look which it didn't do at all. Also made my hair feel a little static. I do love how small it is and I can re-straighten my hair during lunch break if it’s super humid outside or raining. I will say the charge only lasts one hour if you are using it on the highest setting. Not meant for long term use. ... show more

So I wanted to give this thing a few chances before my review. Unfortunately, I'm now pass the return policy. I used it during travel and after I blow-dry my hair. During a car ride, I tried to use this and unfortunately, it doesn't straighten my hair if at all. I feel the heat but my hair was still wavy and no style. Once I stop after trying to straighten one area for 15 minutes, I tried to come back to it several hours later. The wand ran out of batteries and I had to recharge it. Ugh! This is not travel worthy. I wish I could still return it. I gave it a 2 stars because the idea/concept is great! Those with long hair that needs a little styling on the go needs something like this! Plus, the size is perfect! Update: customer service is excellent. Someone contacted me and replaced my defective item. Customer service is prompt, friendly, and I am pleased with the replacement. Thank you This works great for me because I had a bad haircut where my bangs were cut too short, but this made it convenient for me to style my bangs any time to make it look better. Great job tymo for the product and especially the costumer service I bought in and used it for two times, and now it won’t turn on. I have many heated brushes and straighteners including the Dyson model. Some are very expensive. This is the best of all of them and is super convenient and portable. Don't waste money on others.

I love this little straightening brush. The only thing I can complain about is the temp buttons keep switching when you use it. The buttons should be on the other side.
