I got this as a toy the kids can play with when they come for my holiday party. I like the little capsules that I can fill with candy. I used to have a hole punch game that they loved until my dog got ahold of it and destroyed it. This is a good replacement, I think. It takes a bit to figure out how to make it work, but that just keeps them distracted longer. The media could not be loaded. This is a pure novelty toy. It’s not meant to simulate real gacha claw machines you pay money to play at the arcade center. BUT it is very cute and for children, they will love it. AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT OVERFILL. I’ve included a video to show you how it sounds and how it plays (both when not overfilled and overfilled). The prizes included are some furry animals and some plastic bubbles with plastic fishes. They aren’t anything to wow over but for little children, they will like the fact they can fish them out with the claw. I’ve placed this at a small birthday party and the kids will play it one by one and then they would lose interest fast. It’s because it’s not as easy as it looks! I suggest you put in small candy inside the plastic bubbles so this will peak their interest rather than the included toys that really are just something to win. The good thing about this unit is the external 5V microUSB (cable) included. You can run it off any power bank and save your AA batteries. There should be a LIGHT inside the top of the cage so that kids can see it better. In ambient lighting, it can get dark inside the box and not as attractive to view. Everything about it is just right for the price so rather than a 3-star product, it’s a 3.5-star for me. The kids do come back to in once in a while and the music selection is not annoying that is very fortunate. It also makes this loud ratchety sound (from the gears opening/raising/lowering the claw). It’s not distracting but it’s there. If you want something for kids to marvel over this one will do. It’s really meant for little small kids and not teens. The youngest I had playing this a 12yo female. But my youngest age 9yo boy played often when bored. Most enjoy it around 5 minutes max, however. I want to add if you are giving this as a gift, it is quite a nice gift. It’s not cheap in the way it looks and plays like a throw away item but it is pure novelty and very nicely made and does not feel cheap at all. ... show more

This claw machine is cute in both senses. It's adorable, but it's also very small. Only about half of the included toys fit in the machine at any given time. There's also no depth to the cabinet, so the claw moves side to side, only, not front to back. Apart from these size issues, it's a working claw machine for at home. There are better miniature claw machines out there that are bigger than this one and, therefore, more engaging, but this one works just fine and holds together well. This claw machine is really, really cute. Just like real claw machine, it is frustrating at first until you get the hang of it. I would recommend this for older kids with better fine motor skills, maybe 8 and up since it takes a bit to get the hang of and i can see younger kids getting really frustrated. My daughter was able to get all the prizes with the claw after practicing with it for awhile. We have another claw machine and it's a bit easier to use so I dropped one star for the claw being a bit weak. The claw machine is battery powered with 4 double As or you can plug it in using the provided USB. The claw machine plays 4 different songs or you can mute it. The buttons light up and blink which is cute. It comes with a whole bunch of little stuffed animal prizes and prizes in the plastic balls. I can see placing your own prizes like candy or other small, light things in there as well. I would recommend this toy for kids 8 and up just show them how to use it and realize it takes a little practice. ... show more
