Very simple item that prevents your cello sliding around. Just set the metal ring under one of the chair leg and adjust the strap to the proper distant and set your cello peg in one of the holes on the wooden pad. The rubber mat under the wood prevents it from sliding.

I received the kind that has a strap attached to put under a chair leg not the one without the strap. It works fine with minimal slipping and the strap can be wrapped around the leg to give you the distance you want. It’s very good for students, less likely to get “ lost”.

I've tried so many different rock stops, carpets, belts, etc., to keep my end pin from slipping out from underneath me. They usually seem to work fine at home, but then when I am performing, they fail me. I love this style of end pin stopper. The D-ring end loops around the leg of a chair, while the adjustable strap keeps the stopper from moving forward. The lip is high enough to keep my end pin from hopping over the top. The stopper portion is made from a dense, high quality plastic. The nylon webbing strap is wide and well-stitched. The only thing I don't like about this is that the metal D-ring can potentially scuff up chair legs. In order to protect the chair, I would place a baby sock over the end of the leg. This looks nice, has a grippy rubber bottom, and a metal bowl for your cello pin. I took one star off because the metal bowl for the cello pin had a small piece of metal out of it, and left a rough spot that was also missing the brass colored paint.

I need to finish a room remodel and put down the laminate flooring to confirm the non-slip is enough to be effective, but based on the linoleum of the kitchen floor it should. It is a nice looking piece and my cello's pin fit into it nicely.
