The thing about reviews is, they typically are from our initial impressions about an item, the excitement of something new. This review is one of those but, I don't write reviews unless I believe in a product and even then I wait for a couple months to see if the quality is still good but, in this case, I'm very pleased. I've purchased a couple of this style of cat climbing post over the past few years from other brands and, they didn't last or were cheaply manufactured. The first thing I noticed about this climbing post is how thick the platforms are, the size of the platforms and how well attached the felt type carpeting is. It was easy to assemble, everything I needed was included and it was very simple to assemble. There are 2 reasons why I'm giving a good initial review, 1. I bought this for a very cheap price. 2. It is extremely stable and well made (considered it's materials and price point) Of all the different brands of this exact style of cat post, I would favorably recommend this one over any others on Amazon. Both my cats, one is 6lbs and the other is 12lbs, climb up on this and love sitting comfortably to look out the window. ... show more

After 2 years this tree is still standing. I've had to replace the carpet material once (because my cats used it up) and it got a 4 stars because the sturdiness isn't as it use to be. I've moved twice in the 2 years since I got it and by the 3rd and most recent rebuilding process two of the screwing in tops came off. It's easy to just put these tops back on, but just it's not the most sturdy anymore. This tree is made out of a semi-strong carboard material. The carboard material doesn't bend by any means, but the tree is shaky. Especially as the cats are scratching on it. ... show more

We have an awkward open closet with storage space at the top, so we turned it into a cat nook. Instead of having to build steps and deal with finding studs, we ordered this to get them up and down. It’s great! Super easy to put together, and the cats love it. The felt fabric did tear up easily, but for the price, I’m fine with redoing it at some point. It’s sturdy enough for my chunky cats to jump on it multiple times a day, but it does slightly move. Not a huge deal though—it’s probably just due to the weight of our cats. ... show more

Somehow managed to have exact ceiling height that this product doesn’t fit well. It’s a simple tree. Nothing extraordinary. Cat likes it. Not very comfortable for long time nappies

So I thought this was a good deal when I bought it. It held up all right for maybe a week or two and then I started to see that the carpeting was being ripped off the pole. I must say that I do have a large cat. That’s why I put the cat in the picture so you get an idea, so I’m not so sure you can get such rapid destruction with an average size cat or kitten? There’s no question my Cats loved it but I had to take it down when it snapped in half and could’ve caused injury to my cat. Again, I have a big cat so I’m not sure an average of below average cat would yield the same result I had with this item snapping in half but if you have a larger size cat, please take this into consideration ... show more

I had only gotten the second shelf together when Kitty kept trying to get on it and jump up higher. Once I had it all together, she was so excited that when she started running up the tree, she almost fell ! This is her absolute favorite now. She likes to be up high, so this is perfect for her.
