I am not sure this was worth the price. It's just the tripod ad chain. Nothing else. I have a different one that comes with a little blowing tube to help blow oxygen into the fire and get it going. I assumed this one would have that, too, but it does not. I'm not super impressed. But it's okay.

I really appreciate how solid and durable this cooking tripod bracket is. My last one was much thinner, got bent easily and the holes for the support limbs were smaller. This one has 2 sets of holes: large and small, depending on how big you want to make your support and how heavy your pot or fire grate is. It's one of my favorite methods of camp cooking when I'm using firewood. The hang chain/hook is adjustable for height above the fire. My only issue is the included chain. It's pretty thin. It's fine for a small cooking pot or coffee pot, but I prefer a more substantial chain for a Dutch oven or grill grate when I cooking a bigger meal for a group and can't afford to have a broken chain lose the food to the fire and hot coals. It's happened before and in places where replacing food was several days walk away! All in all, I'm pleased with this product. Thank you. ... show more

yeah this thing is great. in a package smaller than my phone, i can have an entire tripod to cook, hang gear, and anything else you could use it for. super simple meaning its hard to break or mess up. the hook height is adjustable for different applications. love it.

This "plus" style is slightly larger (see attached photo) and heavier than the standard version, but is so much more versatile with the six holes in two sizes, rather than three holes in one size. I haven't seen another like this, and it gives the option to use a wider range of sticks with smaller or larger diameters. The stainless steel is an eighth-of-an-inch thick and feels bombproof and like it should last a lifetime. The waterproof drawstring bag also feels sturdy and durable, and unlike some bags where they skimp on the size and the fit is tight, this one is comfortably sized. In addition, the whole thing comes in a thick, high mil zip lock bag for storage. This is a simple but effective and useful tool that would be great to have not only for camping but for backyard use during power outages. Glad to have this! ... show more

This is one of those things that you don't realize you need until you have it. Disclaimer though, finding the right sticks and branches at the right length can be challenging in some areas. I was worried about the distance from the heat causing the branches to catch on fire but that issue has not been realized yet. The chain seems a little flimsy, but I have not put serious weight on it yet and I may test it with a cast iron dutch oven. This would pair well with the high heat safety gloves that can withstand almost 1000 degrees. Makes a cooking tripod anywhere. The idea is carry the linking tool, but no rods, make those on site. Makes sense, if you can make a fire, you must have wood and should be able to get branches. This makes this tripod a snap to create.
