I have a thing about black and white. My whole bedroom is decorated in that color scheme. So, when I went to search for a black and white duvet cover, everything I came up with was either cheap cotton, a cotton microfiber blend, or ALL microfiber. I wanted GOOD cotton. When I found this, I thought it was too good to be true- especially at this price. I was nervous, but ordered it. I do not regret that. So, I am highly texture sensitive. Upon arrival, the top layer, with the stripes, is softer than the underside (like, as others have said, flannel). I think it's (the top) a microfiber blend... I don't sleep with a flat sheet, so I initially thought that would be an issue. But, upon closer inspection, the grey seems to be a good, tight weave. More like a twill- super crisp. I know it will soften up over time. This certainly has, noticeably so. I've washed it maybe 5 times in 2 months, and always used fabric sheets and tennis balls to soften and work the fabric in the dryer. It's still crinkly, but feels softer. And, I will note that I have rejected or returned duvet covers for their texture alone, so my keeping this says something. I also generally overheat easily, though. I am heat intolerant, so although I sleep cold, if I get even a little bit too hot, I barely sleep. This cover hasn't caused any issues with that. We'll have to wait and see for summer- I will update in warmer months. Overall, I'd say this was a good buy. I'm stoked about the new look for my room, and always look forward to cuddling up under this. Also, the pillowcases have crappy fabric on the front, but the other grey on the back. I sleep with the bottoms facing up. I will update and edit this as I gain more experience with it. Edit: I forgot one thing: the corner ties. They suck. They're flimsy, and one ripped off in my hand. My duvet has four corner loops, and four center loops, so I used a seam ripper and removed the original ties, stitched up the ripped seams, and sewed lengths of ribbon on all four corners, and in all four centers. It's a great improvement, and didn't take long. WARM WEATHER UPDATE: since it's hot out and we have the A/C running, it's now 69F in the house, as opposed to 64F that it was when I bought this. I ordered the Pinzon "lightweight" comforter to use in this, and kept waking up in a sweat. I had to return it. I thought maybe the comforter was too warm, but then one night slept under the "all-season" (warmer) variation of the same Pinzon comforter, without the cover, and slept just fine. The only thing I can use in this cover now that it's hot is the IKEA "Sötvedel: cooler," which is super thin and has zero loft. In short, this isn't a good duvet cover for summer. Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor money to spend finding a new one. However, in my quest to find a thin duvet cover, I've discovered that this one feels the best of them all. Still the softest. I'll take that over breathability any day. ... show more

So many positives about this purchase!!! This was the CUTEST comforter and it’s super soft! The packaging was so perfect as well! I loved how it came in a pretty zipped bag and then packaged neatly with instructions on how to clean! The only thing I would like to mention is the inside of the duvet (the strings that tie to the insert) are really thin. Although, I just got this item, I’m interested to see how it will hold up! I think thicker strings might be better for future make, but time will tell how this holds up! The zipper for the duvet is absolutely GENIUS! Super simple, and I hate doing the buttons so I LOVE this option so much!!!! I look forward to recommending this company to all my friends and making more purchases in the future! Amazing quality and product!!! Thank you!! Update- the customer service is amazing! I had an issue with my cover and they were able to have professional and speedy customer service and got the issue resolved! Cannot wait to order my sons comforter from here! The duvet cover is beautiful but not as soft as I would've liked. It's still nice. My daughter loved the flowers and she loves pink. Overall it's wonderful and the zipper is sturdy. Only wished it was a little softer.

Right out of the bag, this cover was super soft. It's made from a thicker cotton, thicker than other covers I've used before. Since it's a different color/pattern on each side, it's very simple to follow the seams on the ends when you're putting the cover on. It's easy to lose your place when the colors blend together. I didn't know this would have the ribbon ties on the corners, so that was a bonus. Those ties help prevent the duvet from sliding around inside. The zipper closes fine and is a double zipper so you can end zip wherever you want. Also, the zipper is easily hidden in the fold. The floral pattern is beautiful and looks the same as it appears on the page. I want to get more! ... show more

This material is pretty soft but not the softest in the world. The color that I purchased (Bloom) appears more pale in the picture, but it is still very very pretty in actuality. I really like that it is reversible as one side is a white with flowers and the other side is a paler blue/grey so I can match it with whatever is going in my room at the time. They were soft on arrival and smelled good not like chemicals, and they have gotten softer with my washes. I have washed it maybe 4-5 times now. The material seems to be high quality and is very breathable and it come with four duvet ties on the corners. ——— I am editing my five stars to four stars. I bought this in July and it is now March. I wash this cover about once a month which means I use the zipper once a month. My zipper broke this month ): Other than that my cover continues to get softer with every wash and I still would buy from this company again. ... show more

Ordered the ‘Sweet’ variation in July, and the ‘Kawaii’ just this week. The Sweet version came with much nicer shams and duvet. The Kawaii came with envelope style shams and the ties inside the duvet ripped off completely with barely any pressure. Both are adorable and very soft! I loved the first one I purchased so much for my oldest that I bought another one for my youngest. Really disappointed the second was not the same quality. ... show more
