(Excuse the black pants. I was trying these on, not wearing them). I’m trying to update my wardrobe for a new job. I’m not a heel girl and I’m not a huge fan of open-toe shoes or ballerina flats. That’s mainly what women’s dress shoes consist of, but it never occurred to me to search for a women’s oxford shoe. Didn’t even know they made them. To be honest, I’m still convinced they don’t. Let me explain… What I’m going to firstly say for these shoes is that even though they’re wing-tip with a narrow toe box, they’re actually reasonably comfortable. IF you choose the right size. I have a slightly wide foot, so I always go a half size up. I’m an 8 to 8.5 wide, so I went with the 9 in these. They’re cozy, but I wouldn’t call them tight. There’s a little padding in the sole of the shoe, but I would definitely need some insoles for daily walking and standing, as the bed is quite hard. They’re lace-up, but I never could get them to pull so I could tighten them. The shoes are tight enough without that, so I didn’t mind. Now, on to why I’ll probably be returning them. I’m one of the world’s biggest tomboys, always have been. I’ve never subscribed to the idea that there are clothes ANY of us can and can’t wear. You should wear what you want and what makes you feel your best. All that said, these shoes are aggressively masculine. I mean, seriously. They’re dude shoes, guys. Doesn’t matter what you wear with them. Anything from a poodle skirt to a lovely evening dress. They’re dude shoes. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that. If that’s what you were looking for, go for it! I, however, was looking for something a little bit more feminine. I would also think that if you search “women’s oxford shoes”, there would be a distinct difference between them and men’s. Or else, what’s the point? I might as well have ordered a 7 in a pair of Stacy Adams and called it a day… As far as the shoe’s standing as a shoe itself, I wore them for a bit and tried to like them on my feet, I really did, but it’s a no go for me. I can’t really judge them poorly because I don’t personally like the style of them (especially since most women’s Oxfords are apparently made this way anyhow), but I can comment on my first impression of their quality. First of all, the brown color is lighter in person than they appear online. Second of all, these are cheap and align quite well with their price tag. They are not a quality shoe and with everyday wear, it is highly likely that they will begin to fail you in some way. The material is thin and would probably begin to look pretty scraggly sooner than later. It would be better if there were some updated reviews showing what these look like after giving them a run for their money. Sorry I won’t be the one to provide you with that. Also, if your foot is any bigger than say a 7, or you have to size up like I did, they’re going to enlarge your feet. They turned mine into a couple of barges. I don’t like shoes that make my feet look bigger as I hate the way it looks in proportion to my height, which is 5’2”. Makes me feel like a waddling duck… If you’ve made it this far in my review and think I’m being ridiculous, you’re entitled to your opinion. However, I said all this to save anyone who feels the same way the time and the trouble of having to return them. I’m going to roll the dice with Ollio’s women oxfords in the hopes that they turn out to be as feminine as they look online. I didn’t go with them originally because these appear to be made better in the same price range, but I just can’t with these. Back in the mail they go. If they’re to your style and taste, they actually are pretty comfortable and a good stand-in for occasional wear until you can invest in a pricier Oxford shoe. If you’re looking for a feminine looking women’s Oxford, trust me, it’s going to be a long road ahead of you. Good luck. ... show more

I love these shoes. They're very cute, and fit perfectly. I was concerned when I ordered them because sometimes I wear a 7.5, depending on the shoe, but was very pleased when I tried them on. No problem at all. I'll be looking at other styles from this brand because I like these ones so much.
