  • No satisfecha
... show more

  • Instructions could be better
I just moved into a house that has a great view of a mountain from my office window so I wanted to get a telescope so I could watch the skiers. I am new to telescopes but this one seems well built and has several different attachments that add to its versatility. I set it up with the 25mm lens as suggested so I could get a feel for its operation. I’ll switch to the Barlow and 10mm lens once I have more experience and the sky clears up enough for me to see the stars off my back deck. The telescope comes with a very nice case which includes a cover for the telescope as well as a bag for the lenses, phone attachment, remote etc. It has a cover for the end of the telescope but not for the eyepiece which is unfortunate. Each eyepiece has its own protective case but you’d have to remove the eyepiece each time to store it. I wish the instruction were more comprehensive. You can tell it wasn’t written in English originally. I’m still not clear on how to use the infrared feature of the optical viewfinder. I think this telescope would be great for someone with experience but not so much for a beginner like me. ... show more

  • Feels cheap, Still good for beginners
This telescope, in my opinion, is ideal for beginners. Easy to put together and moderately simple to use. I put various telescopes in this price range to the test. The telescopes in this price range frequently have cheap construction. They tremble easily, making it difficult to concentrate on an object. The adjustments are not precise. Even still, beginners will love it. ... show more

  • good quality for kids' amateur astronomical telescope
This is my first time buying experience with the brand BOBLOV telescopes, and I was attracted to its beautiful pearl white design. I actually got 2 models, the more expensive model by about $20 is LT80500 ($199.99 retail) versus LT70700 ($179.99 retail). Compared to a prior full-size telescope (not a mini) that I got prior to this, I would say the BOBLOV model is the more superior brand in terms of clarity, although it does not come with a protective sleeve for the telescopes. This mildly less expensive model (LT70700) has a shorter objective aperture of 70mm versus 80mm, but a longer focal length at 700mg versus 500mm. Amazingly, this mildly less expensive model features more magnification of up to 210 times versus 150 times of the more expensive model. All the other features seem to be the same, such as Zenith mirror 45 degrees orthoscope, with the same red dot viewfinder, FMC anti-reflective coating, stainless steel bracket tripod material, Altazimuth mount, and aluminium alloy tube material. Both have a red dot viewfinder which requires battery (included). Although I really like this option, I wish the battery is rechargeable because I really hate replacing batteries, which can get expensive over time and degrade if not changed regularly. With that said, make sure you pull the plastic film before using or else it won't work. Overall, I think LT70700 is the more updated model with a lower model number and lower price point, but comparing the specs, I would choose this model over LT80500. In conclusion, it seems strange that this older model would have slightly better specs. ... show more
