  • on my rig
Style: 40a Dc Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 187 Series, Panel Mount
I use these high-quality disconnects on my rig love the looks style they’re simple to install. The only thing I don’t like is that the lugs are exposed on the bottom so you have to figure out a way to cover them to. They’re not raw hanging out there.

  • Still tried & true
Style: 120A DC Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 285 Series, Surface Mount
Blue sea product continues to be my go to for marine power. Solid, safe, and clean. This replaced 2 failed wet sounds, just some other brand that was relaveled. The wet sounds had broken case, broke reset shaft, and rust. When opened up you could see how they were sub par to the blue sea in so many ways ... show more

  • Excellent Breaker for Inverters
Style: 80a Dc Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 187 Series, Surface Mount
My wife needed an inverter for her work vehicle, that could power a centrifuge. So, after much research, I settled on the Blue Sea brand and this particular breaker because it can also serve as a power switch. You can feel the overall excellent quality of the breaker. The only con that is a little disappoint is the fact that the connection post nuts have no protective covers. Not a huge deal but I would have preferred nut covers. I improvised and used marine grade heat shrink on them. This was still the best option I could find either way. Would buy again. ... show more

  • Will not Trip
Style: 150a Dc Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 187 Series, Panel Mount
First of all I purchased the 187series 200amp version and connected it to the positive terminals on my 200Ah LifePo4 battery. Tested it with a heavy load of 210amps. It didn't trip or showed any signs of tripping . At least I can shut down the battery easily. I then decided to spend another $100 on a 150Amp version. This time I connected it between my 2500watt inverter and the battery - making sure I connected the line to the line and the load to the load. Again tested it by plugging in my1100watt kettle and turning on the microwave at the same time. I wanted to simulate a situation whereby I might do this accidentally. I dont want to draw that much power (210amps) from my Battery at the one time. Again the 150amp didn't trip or no sign of it to trip. I had previously increased the cable size on the inverter from 16mm2 (pair) to 35mm2 because the 16mm2 was getting uncomfortably hot.. I decided to put the original cables back in again Tested once again with the same load. STILL NO TRIP. Although the cables were worryingly hot. Now it only serves as an on/off switch. I am no EE. At this stage I reckon the the cabling would be in a sorry state when these Circuit breakers trip. Perhaps I am doing something wrong. The Breakers seem very robust. I tried to do the responsible thing by fitting circuit breakers and good high amperage cable. Now it looks like I will have to go back to a Plain Old blade Fuse. ... show more

  • Best Solution for a Solar Panel Disconnect
Style: 30a Dc Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 187 Series, Surface Mount
I use this for a solar panel disconnect. Since I needed a switch to disconnect my solar panels, I bought this which is roughly the same price as a switch and you get the bonus of have a circuit breaker. While a fuse or circuit breaker isn't necessary for solar panels, it nice to have. Pulling a fuse or a wire is not ideal since DC current sparks like crazy and is hard on connections- a proper switch is truly needed. This circuit breaker is rated for continuous duty. Blue Sea makes a less expensive one for intermittent duty. DO NOT get the cheap one if you are running current through it all the time. Get this one. Neither is the less expensive one meant to used as a switch. This one you can use as a switch and not worry about wearing it out prematurely. It looks nicer making for a more professional-looking installation. This doesn't heat up when used continuously, which means a more efficient use of electricity; a crucial consideration when solar is your only source of energy. ... show more

  • Great product
Style: 100a Dc Pattern Name: Breaker Color: 285 Series, Surface Mount
I've had this installed in my converted sprinter van to use for sending power back to my house batteries, and haven't had any issues. Unit seems really solid and well built, the breaker shuts off when I trip it, and it was easy to install.
