This is my second purchase of this item. I like everything about it except the newer model uses a plastic snap in buckle instead of the old velcro secured belt. There is no way I would trust this not to break or come loose under heavy use. I will be replacing the new model's belt with that from my old one. Im still meat so I spend a lot of time getting thrashed by the waves and fallout off, the extra slack is very nice. Getting up on the board I never got tangled or wrapped up.
