I own several Black and Decker 20 V tools. I also have two, older 18 v B&D tools and bought the adapter to use the 20V lithium batteries with them. My chain saw is more powerful now. The Electric Pruner works great. It is heavy. Be careful, I can see someone taking off a finger with one small mistake. Keep very aware where the jaws are, just like watching where you point a gun. I have about 5 batteries and chargers for 20 V and keep them charged. I've been working on winter pruning and I'm almost done. Much easier now with this tool than it is with my loppers and hand pruners. It cuts through about inch thick material. It might make two or three chomps. Great addition to my yard battery tools. Highly recommend the electric pruners except for the safety issue. This tool can't be used casually like hand pruners. You need to be alert. ... show more

It helps me a lot pruning bushes, flowers, it is not so lightweight I would think but still very helpfull. I bought it in October 23 and died end of February. I contacted the customer service and got a new one within a week, so I could finish my job. I have no more pain in my fingers.

This is alittle heavy. But if you prop it up you can easily cut alot. I used it for palm fronds. Its a great tool.

Love this thing. When i filled my truck bed with branches i pruned the cut branches with this, making more space. I cut 1 inch branches with one cut. I cut branches non stop for 2 hours, still had power.

This is the best garden tool I've ever bought. Pruning is suddenly easy and very satisfying. I had used my Black &Decker pole chain saw to shorten my very tall fruit trees, A plum, apple and pear. I needed to cut the limbs up to reclaim my back yard. I tried manual loppers, but that took two hands to cut and a third to position the branch. It was cumbersome and tiring. I bought this model so I could share batteries with my pole saw and weedeater. Now I have six batteries and two chargers and I run out of steam before they do. One inch branches snip off without thinking and larger ones just take another couple trigger pulls. It is actually fun to use and I found myself making piles of checkers just for fun. Easier than fixing my electric chipper. This pruner is life changing, especially for old geezers, like me. Loppers make my arms hurt, but I can pull a trigger all day long. This would be a great gift, too, for someone with trees, or who plays checkers. Its powerful enough to cut fence wire, or the errant finger, so be careful. ... show more
