I bought this from Amazon after reading the reviews of this machine and others. This is a very good machine. Assembly very easy, if you can tell the difference between a bolt and wing nut you can put this together in less than 10 minutes. The performance of the machine is outstanding.I live in south Michigan and its pretty sandy soil but the grass roots are hard and I had no problem tilling a 12’x30’ plot twice in each direction in less than 2 hours , however I have COPD so I take a lot of breaks, a healthy person could do the same in 45 minutes.Nice low noise operating system. Overall I’m very happy with the machine, if it’s longevity is comparable to original quality, it should last me a long time. I highly recommend this machine ... show more

I tried previously to submit a review - not sure if it was posted, so here's a recap: I was very tired of the effort it took to start our gas-powered rototiller. Needed to "turn the page". This unit has 13.5 Amps and 1,500 watts - plenty of power; it is the 16" model. Relatively easy to assemble - make sure you read through all the instructions before you start assembling. You will become used to having an extension cord following you around. Unit has great power. You may want to try having the wheels in different settings when dealing with hard-pack ground -vs- soft soil. I'm so happy and pleased with this rototiller! ... show more

This was my first purchase of an electric tiller. Did extensive research online from big box stores and amazon including all reviews. Last year used my neighbors big gas Manta tiller which was very hard to use. Was going to buy another brand with a 13.5 amp motor which was sold out everywhere. I came across this model on amazon. First off on an electric tiller the 13.5 amp is a must in my opinion. The Positives. Very lightweight and easy to maneuver. The Tiller was securely packaged and arrived timely. Installation was a breeze with no tools needed assembled in less than 10 minutes and for those who don't like manuals there is a short video on the amazon site that shows you what to do even a child could assemble this. Did my entire backyard garden yesterday including ripping up many areas of grass down to the dirt. The unit is very quiet and user friendly for older users. The only two cons. The seller had an additional 20 dollar off coupon I missed out on after my order. My neighbor in the back Manta tiller will not start and he is borrowing my electric tiller. I highly recommend this seller and tiller! Our local hardware store charges close to 100 dollars to rent one for four hours so it was a no brainer to purchase this one. 100% satisfied with my purchase. This little machine is a work horse. It goes & goes & is as smooth as could ask for. No harsh fumes or smoke either due to being electric. Very smooth operation. Only real issue is cord can get in the way. Be sure to keep it behind you or over your shoulder. Extremely light weight I can carry it around with one hand. Tines do not get easily wrapped up either. Most roots are shredded instantly. Very easily assembled maybe 3 pieces snapped together. This does not take away from quality of durability at all. Lastly this tiller is extremely quiet W/ little to no noise. Sound is more of a low hum. Overall great tiller well worth listed price. No issues to speak of in my opinion. ... show more

I don't normally write reviews, but I have to say I'm impressed with this tiller! I had to till my entire backyard (2000 sqft) to level it out and lay down new sod. This tiller was easy to assemble, light enough to move around, and powerful enough to not only break up the soil 8 inches deep, but pull up dozens of 1" to 2" thick roots! Tiller arrived quickly (and quicker than expected) and was very easy to assemble. It performed perfectly to till up our garden area in no time at all. Seems to have plenty of power to do the job. I bought this tiller to prep and amend my garden beds. I have a raised and a ground level bed. The ground bed is mostly clay and has some pesky mint that crept over from my neighbor. The tiller handled it very well and was rather easy to control. As expected, the first pass only digs up a few inches, but I raked the loose soil and tilled again to get deeper. Out of the box, assembly was simple and it cleans up easily after use. The reasonable weight and folding handles make storage a breeze.
