The table took longer to unpack than to assemble. It was well protected by the packaging, and assembly was no more than sticking the legs on. Many many pros, but we all know to scour the reviews for the CONS: 1. The legs attach by 4 screws each, which screw into nylon threads. This is a bit tedious and you have to be a little careful not to overtighten them so you don't strip the threads. This is a minor complaint, as it's still exceedingly simple to assemble and the legs feel very sturdy once attached (even though I think I may have slightly over tightened one of the 16 screws). 2. On the inside, the factory-installed hardware is hidden by cheap stickers that match the appropriate white or wood grain. From a normal distance, these are unnoticeable and fine. When you get really close, the stickers look cheap and hastily applied. A quick press of the thumb on each helps. This is such a minor complaint, it's like going out to a delicious dinner and complaining that the spoon was placed too close to the knife in the table setting - ridiculously nitpicky and easily fixed. 3. This is the only con that matters if you're deciding whether to buy this table in the first place: the product is not solid wood (it is accurately described in the amazon listing). This means it looks like typical fake wood. For being fake wood, it looks very good, but don't expect it to look like real solid wood. For me, and at this price, this works fine. It isn't as pretty as real wood, but it is more water resistant if we forget (read: never bother with) coasters, and is much more affordable. Just a factor to keep in mind as you decide whether this table will suit your needs/style. TL;DR: nice looking, cleverly designed, reasonably sturdy, well packed, extremely simple assembly, with three ridiculously minor potential cons that are vastly outweighed by the too-many-to-enumerate pros. Had a slight scratch on the tabletop that was no biggie to fix and reached out to let them know and they were extremely helpful. The table is really good looking and the quality is heavy and sturdy. It was also extremely easy to put together in less than 10 minutes. I wish it was a little taller but that’s no big deal. The legs even already come with felt bottoms so it doesn’t scratch your floors. Would def buy another one in the future. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Great table for my living room. Plusses: beautiful, holds lots of games, soft-close. If filling this up, position items away from the hinges/sides. Cons: Top not quite high enough for my sectional so I changed out the legs. Tad hard to open the lift top, it needs more of a lip overhang. I do like the sliding section, but babys pulling up beware, this is not safe, I need to secure somehow. Overall I am happy with this coffee table, grandkids already spilled water on it and it wiped right up with no issue. It is well made and heavy enough to be sturdy. ... show more

Make sure to open the box on the correct side - that makes things so easy. Even so, I opened it on the opposite side and still had a very quick and easy set up all by myself once I turned it over. You only have to put the legs in - I barely looked at the manual. Straightforward! The table when pulled out could be a little higher, but I have a tall couch (ikea l-shaped storage couch). Works well though! Also the box isn’t heavy or too large so I was able to maneuver it just fine. Single folks in a small apartment - this one is for you! ... show more
