This is my first time owning a pool. The set up was easy. It did take 3 people and definitely took longer than the “45 minute set-up” claim. It’s been up for 3 weeks. The filter works well. I didn’t have the filter plugged up for a week because I had to get a special cord. The filter isn’t supposed to be plugged into an extension cord, but I had no choice. I got a 10 gauge, heavy duty, outdoor cord and monitor it closely. However even after a week without filter running, it quickly cleared the cloudy water. (With chemical help) One complaint: The pool cover absolutely does NOT fit. It is extremely small. The filter can float on top but doesn’t cover the edges. ... show more

Easy set up, I did add a different pump and sand filter as another reviewer suggested for $140, and I added a $50 wide mouth skimmer. Well worth the investment, overall with the skimmer, pump/ sand filter, and accessories, I'm in this about $700. A much better and cheaper alternative than the $10-20k for a proper above ground or in ground pool ... show more

It definitely took some time to set up, but so far we have been very happy with the results. I know my cons list is longer than my pros, but I'm honestly pretty satisfied with the purchase. Pros: Fairly Sturdy Frame, Reasonably Priced, No Leaks (so far), Sturdy Ladder (I'm a big guy and it holds me with only minimal flexing) Cons: Pump Tube Connectors are Cheap Plastic (I was able to get things hooked up after a couple of adjustments without leaks), Plastic Joints in Frame (all bars are metal, just the connector pieces and feet were plastic), Plastic Nuts on Ladder, Cover doesn't fit very well, very very minimal area preparation and assembly directions. ... show more

We bought for our family of 6. It’s perfect. The pump/filter is mediocre. We’ll probably buy a better pump this year but other than that it’s a good value for the money spent. I love the stone look of the liner.

    • Fun… but terrible experience

For what it’s worth, it’s fun to have some water in this Arizona heat! Me and my boyfriend put this together in about 30 minutes. Pretty sturdy, too!! However, I have had to submit 4 warranty claims in the first few weeks of having it. The first one was the liner, I filled it up a quarter of the way and saw it was leaking from somewhere on the bottom. I got a new liner within a couple weeks, but originally was told it could be a couple months since it’s a new model and they don’t have them in stock; I think I got lucky :) Then, putting the ladder together, I found it had missing steps. Third, the pump was put together once I was ready to fill the new liner I received, and both of the 5’ tubes had holes in multiple places. Lastly (and hopefully the actual last), the pump stopped working. It’s creating bubbles at the base of the tubes, so it’s on, just not filtering or moving water. Checked to see if it was clogged, if it was level, if tubes were clogged, everything I was told to check after research on pool pumps. These issues seem menial, however, without things working properly, you cannot use the pool without additional issues. I am bummed the warranty is only a year (included). With this many issues this soon, what should we expect after the year is up? You can pay extra for extended warranty which is great (my window to add it closed before I had time to put the pool together (definitely my mistake, so don’t make it on your end too!!). My nieces will love it when they visit me, but the money to have these constant issues are it’s broken items is not worth the time, energy and money. I will make this one last as long as possible, but I will never order from Bestway again after this. I don’t want you all to spend money and be working on it more than you can enjoy it. ... show more

I had an intex pool before this one and it wasn't made as strong. I like the way it goes together. I like that. It's very deep. I am filling it up very slow with my well water. The picture shows that it's not quite full yet.
