I was hoping the issue with the heat gun mentioned in previous reviews would have been addressed. I just received my package Sunday (yesterday) and took out the box today to inspect and try out the machine. The sealer works well so far but when I plugged in the heat gun, 1st, it was already on the on position. I turned off. Then when I did a practice run on an object to seal, the heat gun would not turn back on and the button now will not move in any direction. It appears to be broken. I left this in the box because I wasn't sure how to use it. I watched videos for other similar machines. I use the middle setting or a little hotter to melt the plastic. I lay my item in the crease, bring down the heating arm while pulling gently on the edge of the plastic. As it pulls away, I know it is sufficiently sealed. I then use the heat gun. Sometimes it is full of air (can cause a hole in the plastic) so I try to squeeze out air when sealing the package. I use a medium heat on the gun and slowly go around the edges and then the top and bottom. Happy with the purchase but wish I knew if I was doing it correctly or the best way. ... show more
