However, consider the quality of wood and ensure you have the necessary tools and assistance before embarking on the assembly.

  • Good quality, great deal.
I’m highly impressed with this play set. Although yes it’s time consuming to put together it’s not too complicated. Plan on 2-3 days with the first one being organizing your materials and you’ll be good to go! Our daughters (4 and a baby) love this set and we couldn’t be happier. We are planning on sealing it again though as we needed to sand a few pieces. ... show more

  • Swingset
Was a gift for grandkids. I recommend having someone put it together for you. Time consuming, and sometimes frustrating to put together with 2 people. But we'll worth it to make grandkids happy!

  • While it is a usable swing set and the kids will enjoy it, my husband and I were really not ...
We purchased this swing set for our kids Christmas present and we were finally able to build it now in March due to New England weather. While it is a usable swing set and the kids will enjoy it, my husband and I were really not impressed with the quality of the wood. We had a few missing pieces of wood as well, they were small, and my husband is a carpenter so he was able to cut his own pieces to replace them but it was still annoying to have to stop what we were doing and wait while we cut a new piece. We also had many of the smaller pieces split in half even though holes were pre-driller. Luckily it wasn't any of the major beams we had a problem with, and maybe I'm expecting too much but if I spend 750 dollars on something, I'd like the quality to be a bit better. Again my husband was a carpenter, so it made it easier, if he wasnt I don't know if the playground would have been built. We probably would have just given up and gone and cried into a tub of ice cream or something. ... show more

  • Kids love it!
Instructions are not that great, and are missing some steps; however, with the pictures you can easily put it together. I was surprised the with amount of hardware left over (over 40 bolts, screws etc.), trust me, I checked everything. Gave it a four stars due to the quality of the cedar wood, some parts came split, and other did as screws went in, but I was able to still put it all together. T-Nuts became loose most of the time due to the lack of quality of the wood, I recommend taking it slow as you tighten the screws. Took a day and half, around 14-16 hrs total with two people. I suggest laying everything on a tarp or hard surface prior to start building, there are tons of small pieces of wood, they are numbered, so take your time and put them in order as you lay them out. It will make it much easier to assemble. Regarding the strength after is put together; I'm about 198lbs, I got in the clubhouse, used the stairs, swing and monkey bars. It supported me, so I'm good having my kid playing on it. Hope you find this helpful. ... show more

  • Love it but it is a big project for the unskilled
I just put this up and my 3 year loves it. I bought because of the wood roof (not just a tarp) and playhouse. However these items are what make it so time consuming. Also installation tips: do an inventory check. I was shorted several wood parts. it takes about 2 weeks to get these after ordering. Also I organized each part alphabetically (don't laugh, it helps). If I had it to over I would lay out all the pieces to each section before I even started the first step. After seeing how much my son loves this set with the playhouse I'm glad he has it. But I'm a busy mom and I wanted to do as much of this myself as I could. But it was a nightmare to put together because every little cute detail needs to be assembled. Every time I would start on it, it would rain, or my son would "need me" or being hanging off me. This is not a simple project that is easy for the person with no carpentry skill and little time. Make sure you have a full (2 days) to work uninterrupted with clear weather. They do have a # to call to have someone put it together for you. I would do that if I had to do it again. It would be worth it. Update two years later. I downgraded my rating from 3 to 1 stars. This is a piece of junk. Everytime the wind blows it rips this to pieces. Do not buy. Pay the money for one of those "built rite" super expensive playsets because as it stands now the play set is just a leaning tower to my stupidity for purchasing something so cheap. ... show more

  • I recommend this set. A lot of activities for the children and a fair price compared to other sets.
l'm going to give this set a 5 Star even though there are some things you should know before buying one, and there are a couple of suggestions I would make to the manufacturer. The directions for the most part are easy enough to follow. There are a few slight mis-prints that are not really a problem. It would be very helpful of the manufacturer would take more time to label stamp each piece of lumber. Most of them are stamped just fine, but some are not getting a clear number stamp on them. Again, not a problem that can't be sorted out. It took my two son-in-laws and I about 15 hours to assemble the set. No doubt two men can do it, but three is surely better, especially of you have at least two really good drill drivers on site. Ones with enough torque to really snug up all the bolts that are used. There were exactly the correct number of boards and parts in the boxes. No shortage of anything, which was very nice! In fact we had extra bolts, nuts, and washers. The set comes in two pretty heavy boxes, so get them unloaded from the truck as close as possible to the erection site. We segregated all like boards and pieces before starting, as well as all nuts, bolts, washers, etc. This was huge help! We leaned the boards up against a fence, set up a separate table for the nuts, bolts, and washers. Then used two saw horses and a sheet of heavy plywood for an assembly table. This was also a huge help and highly recommended. You will need to drill some holes, but 95% of them are already drilled. Pay close attention when you begin assembly that you get the main frame boards facing the right direction. We had to unbolt and couple and turn them around. Not a big deal though. We worked 7 hours Saturday, 5.5 hours Sunday afternoon, and a couple of hours late Monday afternoon to finish up. I highly recommend this set! My five grandchildren love it!! My best suggestions are above and to have all the tools you need, plenty of room, good help, and stay organized. We had fun putting it together! ... show more
